Beach Cafe by Sarwaa — Restaurant in Kerala

This cafe is very cute! The atmosphere is great. Both inside and outside the seating arrangement is pretty nice.

The menu is not too big. It has quite a random selection of foods. Most of it is quite simple. You can order sandwiches, pasta, kerala curry’s, smoothie bowls, breakfast egg-dishes and different types of drinks: coffees, fresh juices and mojitos.

The quality of the food is okay. It wasn’t the best food ever, but it was made with care. Most of what we tried was quite salty. The chicken dishes were all made with shredded chicken which kind-off made every bite taste the same, which wasn’t very exciting. The pasta was not at all something we enjoyed (but maybe thats because I am spoiled by growing up with a lot of home made pasta dishes in Europe). The portions are quite small. Definitely not made for sharing. Everyone should order one dish and eat it themselves.

Price wise on the higher side. But not shocking and definitely not a fine dining standard.

The coffee is very tasty, but the foam on the cappuccino was non existing. So a little practice with the milkfoamer would do wonders.

"We visited Sarwa by the Beachside, after being redirected from their sarwa cliffside location due to high crowds. The location was great, being just 100 meters from the sea. However, the food was a letdown. The chicken curry was subpar and overpriced at ₹300. The mango-pineapple smoothie bowl tasted more like a banana smoothie and was priced at ₹350. The penne pasta was overly spicy. We also had lemon juice for ₹150, which tasted more like watered-down lemon juice.
