Location: Cafe Primo
Below Supreme Bakers, Next to Technopark Phase 2 Main Gate, NH 66 Road
There are places a true foodie will always yearn to go back again and again. Maybe it’s the quality of the food or the sheer variety of the items on offer.
Very rarely you find a place which has a combination of both. Café Primmo is one of those rare breeds and certainly a place any true food connoisseur should try out.
They import most of the items like high quality cheese, freshest fruits and also make their own pizza doughs and burger patties. So you know you are in for a treat when you order a dish.
1.Bruschetta This was just amazing. Beautifully plated Bruschetta pieces topped off with chunks of veggies and chicken and drizzled with a special sauce on top. Felt like I just went roaring into Italy on the first bite itself. The crust itself was toasty and your taste buds will be overwhelmed with the sensation of absolute joy with each bite.
Primo Special Slider
This was absolutely the star of the day. 2 pieces of melt in your mouth Beef patty topped off with bacon chunks and cheddar cheese with a fresh lettuce strip in the middle and finished with a special sauce. The patty sits in the middle of 2 high quality bun loaves. Make sure you eat it as a whole along with the side of crunchy. Well seasoned and juicy French fries.
The patty itself was so soft and tender. Never had such a patty on a burger for a long time now. Brought a lot of memories flooding in. This dish made my day :)
Picnic Punch juice A heady combination of freshly made mango and strawberry juices. Real thirst quencher. You will feel the freshness of the fruits in every sip you take.
The place also offers pizzas, mojitos and more. Can’t wait to explore more.
Café Primmo Special is a true gem of a place with wonderful and quality dishes which every foodie will yearn for. A big shout-out also to the exceptional service from the staff with prompt attention to your every request and gathering feedback on the dishes served....

Shoutout to Eat At Trivandrum (EAT) who have not featured this yet despite the messages and mentions. You failed with this one guys.
Cafe Primo is often mistaken/overshadowed by the popular bakery (Supreme) on top. I've seen many folks thinking that it was just an extension of Supreme. But it's NOT!
The Sandwiches and Burgers here are different in the fact that they are laid open. Stuffed with a lot of content and garnished too. The patty used are actual steak pieces in some of the variants. For 2 folks with just an average appetite, 1 piece would fill their stomach without doubt. Such is the content that they promise.
The Pizza here is good. They weren't joking! I've seen countless restaurants in this region bragging to have Pizzas better than dominoes/Pizzahut and fail miserably. The chaat villa, ambrosia, Cricket Shack, Pondi's etc. would just be some of the names in this list. But the Pizza here is worth the buck and good to taste. The crust is soft but not soggy - The perfect Corniccione.
The juices are awfully overpriced although they are pretty good. The mojitos are a speciality and are well presented.
The service is good. But the bluish ambience throughout the hotel is sometimes irritating to the eye and not to mention ruining the photo of the food that you just ordered. There is sufficient parking and is not usually crowded. There's no wheelchair accessible entrance though.
One line review: Kazhakootam finally has a fine dine restaurant to compete with those in city. Period.
Recommendations: We loved the Pizza. But then again, the burger and the sandwich, they're all good. So you can't go wrong either way.
N.B.: The views here are my own and need not align with yours....
Read moreSourcing inspiration from Italian, Mexican, Spanish and Chinese, the one-year-old restaurant really cooks up some appetising concoctions. Fine dining is the word for the small outlet that can seat about 60 people, attracting its fair share of followers since inception.
Their bestselling sliders are great for a pair. A duo of mini burgers are served with a load of fries and sauce, Juicee Squeezi being the best in the lot. Their burgers and sandwiches are juicy and crispy. Quick bites and soups section entail the most common dishes except for the addition of the bruschetta and crostini. Salads, gourmet burgers, side orders and pizzas, pastas and platters are great too. At a moderate cost for the products, the portion size can seem a bit unfilling. The continental dishes come in a steak form for fish, cottage cheese and chicken.
Their desserts are a dense ensemble from overseas, enamoured with a pinch of local touches. The Triple choco brownie is a square chunk of crumby brownie served with ice cream. Cinnamon rolls are a bagel-shaped soft and tasty morsels with a white saucy layer on top. Spanish churros and tiny finger shaped crispy nuggets made from paneer and dough and dusted with fried cinnamon powder and brown sugar. The chocolate marquise and the Hamilton chocolate cake are pitch black cakes deep in dark chocolate.
Trying to get ahead of the curve, the young-gun chef has introduced these experimental plates that range within the moderate price scale. The décor is subtle with parquet flooring and wallpapered partitions. The bluish purple illumination is sometimes a hints towards a pub or disco like ambience, not suiting to a restaurant. But the dining, taken to splendid proportions, is worth ignoring any...
