Canadian Fried Chicken — Restaurant in Kerala

I had ordered broasted chicken from all other outlets in Varkala. Was a bit apprehensive to order from here as the reviews on Google were very less in number. Ordered as it was available on Zomato. The broasted chicken, french fries, buns, and dips were all good and better than what I used to get from other outlets. In my order, one of the two kids boxes were missing though and had to avail a partial refund through Zomato. Overall, very good quality broasted chicken, when compared to other outlets in Varkala, and very neat packaging. My wife was saying the French fries is even better than those from Chicking. I do not disagree. Hope the management can maintain the quality going forward.

Second review, as on September 6, 2021: After the first review, I had bought broasted chicken and chicken popcorn from the KFC outlet at Kesavadasapuram when I went to Trivandrum. Now, I ordered two kids meals and a dinner meal, along with an extra Pepsi, from Canadian Fried Chicken a day ago. The quality has actually improved since the last order over a month ago. The french fries was the fullest and tastiest I ever had across KFC, Chicking, and other outlets across Kerala. The french fries I normally get from KFC outlets would be lean, dry, would sometimes be half burnt, and won't have even half the taste of the ones delivered from Canadian Fried Chicken this time. Similar was the case of broasted chicken. The pieces I got this time from Canadian Fried Chicken were big, fully roasted to a crisp, and didn't have the ugly black residue often found in KFC chicken. The chicken popcorn was also of a better quality than what I normally get from KFC outlets. The bun that came along with the meals were soft and tasty, unlike what I normally get from almost all other outlets, including KFC. Overall, the quality and taste of the food items received were of a better quality than normally found in broasted chicken outlets across Kerala, including KFCs and Chickings. In short, KFC, which pesters us with ads every single minute and wherever we look or hear, has got a thing or two to learn from Canadian Fried Chicken. Some may doubt whether I have any relation with Canadian Fried Chicken to give such a detailed review. I have no links with them and I'm not even from Varkala but only have relatives here and it is while visiting them that I tried ordering from this outlet. If I have to name one thing that I didn't like much was the nan-like bread that is given out along with the meal orders. It looked like a thin version of 'Kubboos' and I didn't particularly like the taste of it. It would have been great if they could replace it with a bun in each meal order. Regarding delivery, I find that this outlet is missing from the restaurants listed in food-delivery apps on many evenings. I called up the outlet directly one evening and they said it is because the delivery boys of the apps become too busy in the evenings and that they have their own delivery boys to cover that. I therefore ordered directly with the outlet and the delivery was fast and effortless and I could pay using GPay. Canadian Fried Chicken is our go-to spot when it comes to delicious fried chicken and sandwiches in Varkala. It is the only takeaway me and my wife have our food from when we visit Varkala. Their fried chicken is delicious, crispy on the outside and juicy in the inside. We always buy their sandwiches and pizza whenever we go for long trips. Plus, whenever we host a get-together or a party at our home in Varkala, we always buy their bucket meals. They cook and deliver it on the right time and always adds us a freebee!
