Hotel Dwaraka, nestled in the charming locale of Varkala, promises a culinary journey that beckons travelers far and wide. However, my recent dining experience left much to be desired, warranting a modest three-star review.
Let's start with the highlight of the meal—the porotta and beef. While the porotta was adequately flaky and soft, it lacked the authentic taste that one expects from this Kerala delicacy. The beef, although tender, lacked the depth of flavor and seasoning that would have elevated the dish to greatness. It fell short of the tantalizing promises one might have anticipated.
Moving on to the ambiance and service, Hotel Dwaraka presents a mixed bag. The ambiance exudes a quaint charm, with its traditional décor and cozy seating arrangements. However, the overall atmosphere was marred by a lack of attention to detail and occasional lapses in service. The staff seemed overwhelmed and could benefit from additional training in customer service and efficiency.
In terms of value for money, Hotel Dwaraka falls short of expectations. The prices are on the higher side considering the quality and portion sizes offered. While one expects to pay a premium for an exceptional dining experience, the offerings here fail to justify the price point.
In conclusion, Hotel Dwaraka in Varkala has the potential to shine brighter with improvements in both culinary execution and service delivery. While the porotta and beef dish was passable, the overall dining experience left much to be desired. With some adjustments, this establishment could reclaim its status as a culinary gem in the...

We orders 3 meals and 1 chicken biriyani along with that Tuna head curry, Neymeen curry and Small fish fry (Notholi). All tasted homely except Small fish fry as it was not hot to eat. Even curries that we got along with meals was super yummy. Chicken biriyani rice is small one and that too with fried chicken with less masala which I love...
