Finz Restaurant at Club Mahindra Resort Ashtamudi — Restaurant in Kerala

I had been to club Mahindra Astmudi resort for one day stay. It's a very picturesque resort. For dinner I had dinner at Finz restaurant situated within the resort. It's a floating restaurant with a view to Astmudi lake. We had ordered, Prawns fry, Nadan Chicken and Malbar prawns biryani. Taste wise Nadan chicken and Biryani is worth trying. The service given by staff Nizamuddin and chef Saiju were very special. It was my wife's bday and Nizamuddin and Saiju made a superb arrangement for cake cutting. Absolutely pathetic sea food restaurant.It is totally deserted with no customers.The sole staff is uninterested and doesn't even suggest their specialities.Our order took a very long time .The papads served had dead fly / ant on it.On showing it to the chef, he didn't even have the courtesy to apologise for this major negligence, probably it is a normal here.Food was tasteless and too pricey.The payasam was too bland.Wonder how Club Mahindra property has such a poorly run restaurant in its premises.Definitely not at all...

A great restaurant with a beautiful view and lovely food. Good job by Chef Sreejith, the food is authentic Kerala cuisine and kept us coming for more. We tried the ashtamudi fish curry, neymeen pollichathu, allepey veg curry with appam, cauliflower bezule and njandu elaneer rasam.
