Ripples Restaurant at Club Mahindra Resort Ashtamudi — Restaurant in Kerala

This is the only restaurant in club Mahindra resort ashtamudi. Even if you want a coffe here you have to order from this resturant. Btw a coffe is 180 rupees. If you walk 10m outside the resort you can get a better cup of coffe for 15 rupees. But my complaint is much bigger. I had taken the breakfast and lunch package which came up to 5800 rupees for me, my dad and mom. Both meals were buffet option. For dinner there was only two variety of chicken and 6 variety of veg. The food was just ok , definitely doesn't justify the 5 star hotel pricing. For breakfast, the buffet was supposed to open at 7:30. We got in at sharp 7:30 as we had to leave by 8am for sightseeing. At 7:30 when we entered , the buffet was literally empty. We waited for 15 mins and once they set up the buffet we took out food. I came down to my table and took the first bite of a sausage. It was frozen on the inside. The potato wedges i took were in the same state. I called the restaurant manager and asked her politely to please heat it up. By then i lost my appetite partially. I waited patiently but half an hour later no one came back to me with my heated food. I got up and reported the incident to the restaurant manager as well as the reception desk. They are serving frozen food for breakfast and charging a premium of 1200/- plus tax per head!!! It's not fresh food. The staff weren't receptive at all to my complaint and they didn't take any action. We were asked to pay the full amount on check out. There are so many good restaurants outside. There is a home right adjacent to club Mahindra that serves home made appam and curry on request and it will not come to more than 200 rupees per head. This is day light robbery they are doing here at club Mahindra ashtamudi and i hope in the future whoever comes here is aware of the same. Don't be fooled by their price, boycott their restaurant maybe then they will start serving quality food worth the price...

It's a buffet restaurant in Club Mahindra, Ashtamudi. I enjoyed 3 meals - breakfast, lunch and dinner combi offer. The spread was really great and so was the taste. Chef Suresh and his team are really great in terms of service. The menu is well thought out and appealing. I just can't single out a dish as great as the entire spread was great. A small note was that the curd rice was a little clumpy. Thanks to the entire team for giving us the treat. Club Mahindra food has always been excellent The only sore part was in terms of guests who shouted beyond decent decibels and also picked up food with the same hand after eating. Restaurant Manager mr Bikas is very stiff. Not very customer friendly and also against veg food. For booking At the lake view restaurant he says “ As your vegetarian you will not be given any preference” pref is for non veg there. How can he even talk to a...
