Different varieties of biryani include Malabar Chicken Biryani and Zurbian Biryani. We tried both. 😌
To comment on Zurbian Biryani- I would say it's a different flavour worth trying. Tastes a bit like mandi but it's got a unique flavour. I didn't understand what flavour is dominant in this biryani but this is definitely worth trying. 👌 The only problem I felt is one will not be able to finish one entire biryani- I think its cause of the flavour- There's greater satiety. It was served hot with chutney, dates pickle, salad(without curd) and carrot halwa. Dates halwa was yummy. Chutney goes well with this biryani. Salad was also tasty. Carrot halwa is not that great- but it was okay. Zurbian biryani (plus chutney, pickle, salad, carrot halwa) costs Rs 149/- .
Now we tried Malabar Dum Biryani too. When compared to a few other malabar dums that we get here, it was above the mark. This one is delicious. Even malabar dum biryani is served with the above mentioned add-ons for the same price.
Personally, I liked Malabar Dum Biryani more than Zurbian Biryani. I would give a 4.5/10 for Malabar dum and 4/10 for Zurbian. But Zurbian is definitely worth a try.😋
Space is less for dine-in. There are two tables and 8 chairs available. So a maximum of 8 people can be accommodated in that space. I guess people mostly prefer takeaways.
Now to talk about their customer service, I would give a 5/5. Their service was excellent, they were able to satisfy customer needs and expectations. ❤
At night, I liked that ambience with warm led lights and hanging bottles. It looked simple but lit. 💫

Read moreI recently had the pleasure of trying Zurbian biryani at Grandios , and it was truly exceptional. The first thing that struck me was the wonderful aroma of the spices used in the dish. The rice was cooked to perfection with just the right amount of flavor from the spices and herbs used. The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful, and each bite was bursting with flavor.
One of the things that really stood out to me was the balance of seasoning in the biryani. It wasn't too spicy, nor was it too bland, but rather it had the perfect amount of kick without overwhelming the other flavors. The accompaniments of raita and salad were also well-made and complemented the dish perfectly.
Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with the biryani at grandios. The presentation of the dish was also impeccable, served in a traditional handi with a garnish of fried onions, cilantro, and mint leaves. The service was top-notch and the restaurant had a great ambiance, making for a truly enjoyable dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some of the best...
Read moreAfter seeing a lot of reviews i finally decided to try grandios biryani. Its a small take away counter with 3 biryani varieties. I tried their chicken biryani. The pack consists of a dry salad, picken and 2 surprising things a coconut chutney and pudding.
First about the quantity. Its a really filling biryani and the quantity is bit more for my tummy. There are 2 big well cooked chicken pieces. When it comes to taste its an above average and differently tasting biryani. I haven't eaten malabar biryani so cannot comment on its authenticity. But i liked it well. There is no aroma at all other than fried onion smell. For me the smell is the first thing i need to fill my mind but that was totally missing. Thi sides they keep with it is a real great thing which makes the meal complete. A desert which anybody would never expect made me real happy n surprised. Overall its a nice experience and i appreciate the ppl behind for their efforts in service a different biryani to trivandrum ppl. Priced at 160rs i...
