This is a full fledged restaurant, I wonder why "café" is in the name and this is located within the building of the 5 star hotel and is the only restaurant here.
This was my 2nd time staying at the hotel and having had a very memorable and pleasant time earlier in 2021, it was decided beforehand that for the entirety of my 3 night stay I'd eat here instead of searching for mediocre options elsewhere.
Breakfast is served from 07.30 to 10.30 and during the weekends the place is absolutely packed from 09.30, plenty of seating available though.
The breakfast spread is huge and almost everything I had was quite well made, importance has been given to quality which is often not the case in most establishments were primary importance is for the number of items in the spread.
There is an amply equipped live counter that makes a variety of eggs, dosas, bhatura/poori, aloo/paneer paratha. I had some absolutely dashing chicken stew, chana masala along with bhatura and parathas.
Pan Cakes are also freshly made. A variety of fresh cut fruits, strawberry/coffee croissant, pain au chocolat, donuts, cinnamon rolls are also available.
Different types of honey, ready to eat chicken/veg sandwiches, and a few types of cereals are also available.
Idli with different types of chutney, puttu (steamed rice cake) with brown chickpeas curry, egg curry, potato bhaji, hard boiled egg, hash brown, chicken sausage, and a few types of cold cuts are also displayed, ready to eat.
To drink there a few types of fresh juice (not sure if it's ready made or fresh), black coffee, filter coffee, milk tea.
Apart from the absolutely well managed and served high quality breakfast spread they also have an extensive menu with pricing that matches the quality of products and services provided. The full menu is serviceable till 10.30 pm and after that a limited menu is available throughout the night. From this limited menu I ordered chicken sandwich and beef burger. Although the chicken sandwich looks very simple and almost too boring, it was very well made, exceptional, very creamy and absolutely delicious. The beef burger with the caramelized onions and lettuce too was really good.
The overall experience with this restaurant over 3 days this time and another 2 days back in 2021 was very memorable, in terms of quality of food, level of services offered, prices chargee, and most importantly cleanliness and...

Our team outing at O by Tamara was nothing short of extraordinary! Nestled in the heart of Trivandrum, this stunning restaurant, with its floor-to-ceiling glass windows, bathes in golden sunlight, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The sophisticated yet relaxed ambience made it the perfect setting for an unforgettable evening.
From the moment we stepped in, we were captivated by the atrium-style architecture where operable shades transform the space into an open-air paradise. The lush green lawns and endless blue skies provided a breathtaking backdrop, enhancing our dining experience. And with the shimmering infinity pool just a glance away, the vibe was nothing short of magical.
The culinary journey was exceptional each dish was a masterpiece, blending international flavors with locally inspired creativity. The menu offered a delightful range of options, and every bite was a celebration of taste and presentation. Paired with their scintillating drinks our meal was pure indulgence.
What truly stood out was the attentive service the staff went above and beyond to ensure our team had a seamless and enjoyable experience. Their hospitality added a special touch to the evening.
O by Tamara isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a sensory escape where great food, stunning views, and impeccable service come together. It was the ideal spot for our team gathering, leaving us with wonderful memories (and full hearts!).
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a top-tier dining experience in Trivandrum. We’ll...
Read moreAmbience Can’t Save This Overpriced, Underwhelming Buffet
As much as I loved the vibe of O by Tamara—both the interior and the beautiful exterior lawn setup—the dinner buffet was a huge letdown. I went in with high hopes, especially when you’re paying nearly ₹2,000 per person at a reputed, high-end hotel, but the food simply did not live up to the price or the brand.
The starters were limited to a few bite-sized salads and appetizers, with just two soup options. The main course had very few choices—rice/naan with about three vegetarian and three non-vegetarian curries. The live counter was particularly disappointing, serving only fish fingers—no prawns, mussels, or other meat options you’d expect at this price point. The chaat corner was average at best; honestly, I’ve had much better from street vendors.
The dessert section was somewhat of a relief, offering multiple choices and at least decent taste, though still not as extensive as one would expect. The beverages were the biggest letdown—only two options: a mango sharbat and a spicy passion fruit drink, both of which were almost undrinkable.
The only saving grace was the service—the staff were genuinely kind and attentive. Unfortunately, the food fell far short of expectations, and I will not be returning or recommending this place for their...
