Hotel Mahalekshmi — Restaurant in Kerala

Very poor hospitality, towards the local people's . The receptionist who was standing their was so rude ... Seriously not recommented to any one. (And for your kind information , I saw the reply what you have given by making your side clear. It was actually not like that and .. non of the service guys were there for taking the order and .. you had said something about the way of treating the foreign people's.. brother I was the restaurant manager at some of the 5 star property's .. so pls consider that, what we know about the service as well as the hospitality that a restaurant should provide for people's, and also this post is for the real customer's ,we should also consider as the customers, not only forigners should be treated nicely we do also are customers.

Am not a person who just need to keep on create some problems like spending my valuable time in doing this . Bt It is...

I have been eating from this place for more than the last 25 years . Yes you read it right!!! 25 years is a long time. So, it gives me a lot of nostalgic feelings whenever I have food from Mahaleskhmy.

Over the last 25 years many things have changed including me and also the restaurant. But the only thing that has not changed here is the 'taste'.

If a person is having food from one restaurant over 2 decades then there is no need to give separate testimony for the food they serve here.

Below are my personal favorites which I have had time and again. Fish curry prawns chammanthi prawns fry Appam and beef curry. Kappa and green chilly chutney

If you really wish to have a meal which has an authentic south Kerala touch, this restaurant is the place to be. I bet you wont be...

Dine in was great during old times, with Corona, we decided to get Pothichoru delivered. It's waste of money. They are liberal with rice gave a ton per pack, but quantity of fish, and curry was so little that rice was surplus. Rice qty good for 2 or more people. Don't recommend the Pothichoru....it's not worth it. I also read about rude behaviours in some earlier posts.....so wanted to touch on that. In two of the packets delivered home, they did not put fish and the vegetable pouches were are all duplicate. When my wife called to give feedback,one of the guys who picked up the phone was unapologetic about their mistake and said that "we pack 100s a day and it will happen"...no more Pothichoru from this place...attitude definitely needs...
