Title: Disappointed with the Service and Misplaced Order

Rating: ⭐⭐

I recently visited the Indian Coffee House hoping to enjoy a delicious meal. However, my experience was less than satisfactory, and I am compelled to leave a two-star review.

First and foremost, the service was quite poor. The staff seemed disorganized and inattentive, taking an unnecessarily long time to address our needs. It was disappointing to witness such lack of efficiency, as it significantly impacted the overall dining experience.

To make matters worse, our order was not handled properly. We had specifically ordered chicken cutlets, but they were misplaced, leaving us without one of the items we were eagerly looking forward to. This mistake was quite frustrating, as it not only wasted our time but also affected our enjoyment of the meal.

Additionally, the quality of the food itself was just average. While the masala dosa and porotta were decent, they didn't quite live up to our expectations. The beet fry lacked the desired flavor and was a letdown in terms of taste.

I genuinely hope that the Indian Coffee House management takes these criticisms constructively and works towards improving their services and customer satisfaction. It is essential to ensure that the staff is trained effectively, so they can provide prompt and attentive service to guests. Attention to detail is crucial, as misplaced orders can lead to dissatisfaction and disappointment among customers.

Furthermore, I encourage the establishment to focus on enhancing the overall taste and quality of their dishes. Consistency is key, and meeting customers' expectations in terms of flavor is vital for a satisfying dining experience.

With some improvements, the Indian Coffee House has the potential to become a go-to spot for authentic Indian cuisine. However, until the service and food quality improve, I am hesitant to recommend this restaurant to others.

I hope my feedback is taken seriously, and necessary steps are taken to rectify these shortcomings. As a customer, I believe in the potential for growth and improvement, and I sincerely hope to see positive changes...

During my recent visit to the Indian Coffee House, I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Here's why I enjoyed it:

Pros:

Warm and Welcoming Staff: Despite the bustling atmosphere, the staff at Indian Coffee House managed to maintain a welcoming demeanor. Their smiles and attentiveness made the dining experience even more enjoyable. It's heartwarming to see such excellent customer service even during busy hours.

Ample Parking Space: Finding parking on a highway road can often be a hassle, but Indian Coffee House had a spacious parking area, which was a significant convenience. It's evident that they consider the comfort of their patrons, even beyond the dining experience.

Delightful Food Variety: The menu at Indian Coffee House boasts a wide variety of delicious options. During my visit, I tried their cutlet, and it quickly became my favorite. The combination of crispy exterior and flavorful filling was a culinary delight. Additionally, their selection of juices and shakes provided refreshing choices to complement the meal.

Preservation of Legacy: Indian Coffee House carries a rich legacy as an old franchise in Kerala, and it's heartening to see that they are committed to maintaining this heritage. The ambiance and the overall experience pay tribute to this legacy, making it a unique dining destination.

Overall, Indian Coffee House offers a complete package of warm hospitality, ample amenities, delectable food, and a touch of nostalgia. It's clear that they are dedicated to preserving the legacy of this iconic franchise, and it shines through in every aspect of the dining experience. If you're looking for a taste of history and exceptional food, a visit here is highly...

Food is pathetic. We ordered masala dosa, sada dosa, poori, egg roast, tea and coffee. Masala dosa and sada dosa were limp and not tasty. Their signature beet root coloured potato masala inside the masala dosa was pasty, insipid and lacked taste. The poori was drenched in oil. The egg in the egg roast actually met the gravy for the first time at my table. You could feel the disconnect. The gravy was also watery (though they called it a roast) and had an overpowering smell of a spice. The only good thing that was served was the tea and coffee. They give you an uzhunu vada with the dosa whether you like it or not. The vada was hard. The coconut chutney was watery and the sambhar was a disgrace. I don't think it is professional cooks (leave alone chefs) who prepare the food there. I just pray that north Indians and foreigners form an opinion about sambhar, chutney and dosa after eating here. It is really sad that such pathetic south Indian food is served in the Southern most part of India. They do not serve appam even for breakfast but porotta was available. Sad.

There is no upselling by the waiters and just take orders and bring the food. I think they need to hire home cooks and or professional chefs to prepare food and server authentic south Indian food at their establishment.

Parking is limited. Thankfully the toilets were clean and the authentic Indian thing in Indian...

An okay joint on the MC Road which is functional and serves satisfactory food. The service is quick. The place is generally crowded attesting to it's appeal. They don't seem very particular about cleanliness and this does not seem to bother the customers, as they see the place as a functional joint which serves decent food in quick time. The toilet was clean, considering the heavy traffic. They also sell their brand of coffee powder. We tried the ghee roast (48/-) and the masala dosa (68/-). They were just okay. The vada was an add on at 12/- per piece. There's sufficient parking and they've a parking lot off the road exclusively for their customers. Try this if you're looking for okay food in quick time on the MC Road near Kottarakara.

Aa. That one place that's consistent throughout no matter which branch of it you go to, Indian coffee house is a league of its own! Usually we go here for a good meal but this was en route to our travel and we stopped for just snacks. Coffee, badam milk, cutlet, pazhampori and Bombay toast! Oh yummm!! Their freshly made hot pazhampori and chicken cutlets, awesome! Then their Bombay toast, surprisingly it was perfectly sweet and awesome! Coffee was good as always..but the badam milk, could have been a little better as the syrup or powder was not diluted properly. Overall, the place to go for consistent food...from dosas to their trademark beef omelette to some great and freshly made snacks!
