I travelled over 50km just to visit this Café because we’ve always admired its ambience and peaceful vibe. But sadly, this visit turned into one of the worst café experiences I’ve ever had — all because of the staff’s unacceptable behaviour.
From the beginning, the staff were rude — not just to us, but even to other customers present at the time. We had a camera with us because we love documenting beautiful places. While one of my friends was simply looking through the viewfinder for random shots (not even recording), a staff member suddenly started yelling, accusing us of filming the kitchen.
We calmly responded, explained we hadn’t taken any such footage, and even showed the camera to prove it. That’s when the staff mentioned that filming wasn’t allowed and that there was a board stating so. We hadn’t noticed it and immediately apologized, saying we were about to ask for permission anyway. But instead of handling the situation like a decent human being — politely explaining the policy — he raised his voice, spoke in a disrespectful manner, and chose aggression over basic courtesy.
It was embarrassing and deeply disappointing. We were genuinely on the edge of filing a complaint to the authorities, but we chose not to, out of respect for the people whose livelihoods depend on this place.
Such a peaceful, creative café deserves better staff — people who reflect the soul of the space, not ruin it with hostility. This experience has made me seriously rethink ever...
Read moreWe visited after seeing a lot of Instagram reels and posts. While the ambiance is definitely good for an evening hangout and casual conversations with friends, we felt that the food was not up to the mark. The quality needs improvement, and they could also work on enhancing their menu.
Another concern we noticed was the cleanliness. After a customer leaves, the tables are not properly cleaned, and there doesn’t seem to be much effort from the staff either. There were also a lot of flies both inside and around the food, which made the experience quite uncomfortable as we spent most of the time shooing them away.
Overall, the idea behind Kashi Cafe is great and there’s definitely a lot of potential if they focus on improving their menu, food quality, and overall service strategy. Wishing them all the best...
