Honest Review:- Usually for family functions we used to order from Malabar village's restaurant near Bhima, for the first time we ordered from here last night and it was a terrible experience. The bill amount was Rs.5635 (Bill also attached) and I'm very much disappointed with their food, especially attitude of their staff. The person who takes phone calls and note orders is very much irresponsible and ignorant, his attitude was very bad. I booked the order on call on Friday morning and then called the same staff evening also one hour before the delivery time to make sure everything is perfect. When I reached there this person personally checked all parcels with bill but later when I reached home noticed that three alfahams are missing. I called the staff and talked to him, the response from the staff was very bad and he was like he didn't make a mistake. I told him to cancel the alfahams order because function was at 7pm and it was already late and he wasn't ready to cancel the order. Later he told me they are sending food in an auto and it'll reach here very soon, whereas after twenty minutes I got a call from auto driver saying he just going to start from the restaurant just now only he got the parcel. I called the staff many times and he ignored my calls. Anyway for a function at 7pm I got food after 8pm because of that irresponsible staff. He was very ignorant and rude on the phone. And now about the food, Ordered 35 porottas and it was very hard and wasn't layered,total disappointment(and they are charging ₹15 for this porotta). Alfaham was tastewise good but it was cold (because the parcel packed at 6.30pm we got after 1.30hrs). Chilly chicken and Goby manchurian was good but felt like overpriced (₹660 for one full portion of chilly chicken and ₹500 for one full portion of goby manchurian).Anyway, I had a horrible experience last night and I'm very much disappointed with service of their irresponsible staff and food. I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at Malabar Village Restaurant in Vengalloor, which has convinced me never to visit this establishment again. Here’s a detailed account of what transpired:

Initially, I ordered a parcel from the restaurant, but upon receiving it, I realized that one item was missing. When I contacted the restaurant to request a refund, they assured me that the amount would be refunded to my pay number. However, despite multiple follow-ups, the refund was not processed.

My attempts to resolve the issue with the manager were met with rudeness and indifference. The manager even shouted at me, claiming they were too busy with customers to deal with my issue and insisted that I come to the restaurant in person to get the refund. Unfortunately, due to the distance, this was not a feasible option for me.

After several frustrating days, I finally made the trip to the restaurant. To my surprise, the owners were quite nice and accommodating. It became evident that the manager and some of the staff were the ones causing all the discomfort and mishandling the situation.

This was not my first negative experience with the staff at Malabar Village Restaurant. Their unprofessional behavior and lack of customer care have consistently been a problem. Given the recurring issues and the significant inconvenience they caused, I have decided that I will never visit this restaurant again.
