I’m really not someone who writes reviews, but this one had to be said. I genuinely hope the management takes it as constructive feedback and not just another complaint.
So, I checked Google before visiting, and it clearly said the café opens at 11 AM. Me and my friend reached around 11:35–11:40, expecting to grab a nice coffee and chill. For about ten minutes, nobody even came to our table. The only person there was apparently the manager, and I had to literally call him over to take our order. When I did, he told me the staff hadn’t arrived yet because they were stuck in traffic. It was 11:49. If the café opens at 11, your team should already be there, right?
We ordered a sourdough Margherita pizza and two frappes, one salted caramel and one hazelnut. Then began the circus. First, he says hazelnut isn’t available. Then five minutes later, he says actually, there’s no ice cream at all, so most frappes can’t be made. After three rounds of “we don’t have this,” “we’re out of that,” I finally ordered a matcha iced latte and my friend got a regular iced coffee.
By the time our drinks showed up, it was close to 12:30. Not a drop of water offered, no tissues, nothing. The pizza, I’ll admit, was really good, crispy and delicious. But the drinks? For a place that calls itself a specialty coffeehouse, both the coffee and the matcha were honestly way below expectation.
And then came the real test of patience. Every time I called the manager for something, he would respond from about 15 meters away with a loud “Yes?” and just stand there looking at me instead of walking over. Like sir, do you really expect me to shout across the café to tell you what I need? It happened multiple times, and it was just… awkward and unprofessional.
At one point, I accidentally dropped my matcha. He came, asked us to move to another table, and that was it. Not even a basic, “Would you like me to get you another one?” Nothing. I don’t even mind if he’d charged for it, it’s just about basic courtesy.
When we finally asked for the bill, he said the machine wasn’t working, so the payment had to be made through a QR code that led to a personal account. That’s when I just mentally checked out. Between the missing staff, missing flavors, and missing professionalism, I genuinely wondered what was working in that café.
It’s a pretty space, I’ll give them that. Looks great in photos. But looks can’t save a place if the service is this bad. I actually thought I’d come back another time, maybe alone with a book, but after this experience? Definitely...
Read moreThe café is located within the same entrance as Royal Enfield showroom, from the outside I felt like the café was closed because it was dark.
Real café ambience, very dimly lit which for me is a very good thing, because most cafés in this part of the world are more of an eatery (people come for the food and to eat) than a café (people come for the vibe, ambience, coffee and to hang out).
I also liked the seating arrangement which is again more café style with dim light that encourages conversations and a laid-back atmosphere on relaxing leather couches.
Although I was drawn to this place based on the varieties of coffee offered , during my visit today they had just one type of full arabica beans, of which I asked for an espresso.
Served in a black espresso cup (in their own branding) was this slightly bitter pull of 30 ml shot that had a well rounded profile in terms of flavor and aroma. Nothing extraordinary, but at the same time, a very decent espresso that still has room for improvement. I'd definitely try the same pull to understand the profile better.
I had no intentions of trying out anything else during this time-constrained visit of mine, although on display they had some croissants that could be really refined in terms of the layering and overall looks, but that's for another day.
I'd definitely give them another try soon and actually sit and enjoy their coffee rather than rush through it in a take-away cup.
Espresso priced at a very reasonable INR 150/-
And yes, very engaging, friendly & polite...
Read moreWe went here Friday evening for some dessert. At first it felt like the place was closed, but it wasn't, so don't get mistaken by the lighting! It's super nice and cozy inside, with warm lights. I really liked the atmosphere, and the staff were oh so nice. I want to come back here just for the niceness of the staff, so helpful and polite! We tried their brownie, red velvet pastry and cinnamon roll. Everything was nice, the brownie was delicious (although a bit on the sweet side for my taste). The red velvet was melt in the mouth too, although I don't think that was red velvet, I didn't taste the cream cheese frosting and there was strawberry preserve/jam filling. Regardless, it tasted quite nice. The cinnamon roll was quite decent too, the flavor was on point. The ambience was very different simple but elegant and peaceful. I really loved it here.
For our second visit, we tried the pizza Margherita and pasta Arabbiatta. Both were quite nice. The cheese on the pizza was really good, the sauce and bar was just alright. The pasta was the highlight for me. It was super nice and hot and filling. It was just super comforting to eat it, and it was cooked just right, aldente.
Price is on the higher side, but it's a good experience. A nice place to relax and chill with great food. Unfortunately, I don't like coffee, so can't try that but their coffee machine sure looked interesting!
Thanks again for the hospitality, I really appreciate it! If only more people...
