In the 1990s, I had food many times at R R Restaurant, especially their Porotta and Beef Fry, Kallappam, and Egg Roast. After almost 35 years, I visited again and ordered the same Kallappam and Egg Roast. To my surprise, the Egg Roast still had the same slight sweetness and slightly loose gravy, just like I remembered from all those years ago. It was a truly nostalgic experience.
I had a conversation with the manager (owner) and shared my experience with him. I also came to know that then the famous Anand Hotel is no longer there, but Thara Hotel still exists. R R Restaurant continues to operate in the same building as before. This restaurant still serves food to the Ettumanoor people due to affordability to the commons.
