Salkara — Restaurant in Kerala

Those who are going to eat please do not read this

The day I went to Kozhikode with my family for a purpose.... when I felt hungry in the afternoon, I did a Google search and went to Salkara, which I saw nearby. Lunch was ordered for everyone. As it was noon and everything was ready, the food reached the table quickly...... Those of us who did not eat non-veg and did not order non veg, got a meal with fish curry..🫤 Finally we had to ask the people who were there for the vegetable curry and buy...... our this action was noticed by the manager ( or table boy) came to us....What's the matter and started asking are you comfortable here ... 😇 ‼️‼️ Anyway, I will never enter this store again A space that takes advantage of human hunger by placing many chairs and tables in a narrow room without space. It felt really bad to see several suppliers standing around us watching us, when we were eating. simply looking to our plates........🤤🤤🤤 really bad.... really bad 🫣🫣🫣 🙏 When many curries are served on a small plate, if you touch one, then you have to eat it from the table.....

All in all it is a meal that can be remembered forever....a meal that will never be repeated again..🙏🙏

This is just an experience born out of the pain I felt when I cam with a desire and came back disappointed...... It may not happen to everyone so this is just my personal experience..... Always...

With great expectations we took a take away tonight consisting of chappathis(15nos) and veg & non veg curries. The moment we opened the chappathi parcel, we could instantly get the foul smell and without doubt, say that it wasn't fresh. They were sticking to each other and were very greasy. One could undoubtedly tell that it was prepared the previous day. Although the curries seemed ok, we were not in a mind set to have them after having a look at the chappathis. Irony is that since it was night, we could not go back to the restaurant to complain as well. I am left with the feeling that that's why they probably give these off to take away customers at night so that people seldom come back with it to complain. They should take the branding of '"paragon" off, as we know what exceptional quality of food paragon offers...

Salkara Restaurant, East Nadakkave, Calicut is a popular food destination here. They serve quality food in best possible way to their guests. You get variety of foods from breakfast to dinner across the a/c nd non a/c sections. The ambience of a/c resturant is very pleasing and the staff are well behaved.

The hotel though it's in the corner of a of a one way (towards city) and Wayanad road(towards Eranhipalam) they have managed to arrange the nearby plot dedicated for vehicle parking.

Waiting time for dishes may be like 5 -20 mins depending on the item ordered and rush. Nursing mothers have a space for feeding their babies which is a rare thing to find in other restaurants.
