Good place to have a light grab. responsible people. reasonably priced.
I had written the above review 5 years ago and I have to change my opinion after an incident at the same place yesterday (2nd August). I used to visit this place at least once or twice every month to grab some snacks. I did the same on Saturday (31st July) and among the lot, I had picked two ghee cakes (which was reasonably good most of the time) priced at rupees 185. The expiry date on the packet was 2nd August for both. We consumed one over Saturday and Sunday. When we opened the second one on Monday morning (on the date of expiry), it was totally rotten with fungus. I took that cake to Ojin on the same evening and thought that would be an easy exchange as obviously the cake should be edible up to the expiry date. But instead I had to go into heated arguments with the staff for almost half an hour to get this replace. Their argument was, I should have pointed this out on when I purchased it on Saturday such a pathetic argument, how will I know it is going to get rotten before expiry when I purchased it or even if so I how can I open the packets and examine everything before leaving the shop? what do they expect from the customer. So, when you go there next time, examine all the packets ;) the moment it is out of the shop, they are not going to accept it back, they don't care about expiry, it is all your fault.
For the information of Ojin Management: An expiration date or expiry date is a previously determined date after which something should no longer be used, either by operation of law or by exceeding the anticipated shelf life for perishable goods If you want to discuss more, put...
Read moreOjin Bakes is located in the same building as my office, so I visit sometimes. They recently introduced an AC dining area, which is well-furnished, has comfortable seating, and includes two bathrooms. However, the waitstaff response is quite poor, and their service feels slow and inattentive.
In the non-AC restaurant, meals cost ₹70, but in the AC section, "special meals" are priced at ₹120. The meals are decent, but fried fish and other extras come at additional, often steep prices—best to ask beforehand. The porotta is crispy, but the beef portion is very small for ₹150. The shawarma plate (₹125) wasn't very impressive in taste. They also serve burgers and sandwiches for variety.
Overall, while the atmosphere is nice, the food quality and portions don't justify the higher prices, especially in the AC section. It's good for an occasional visit but may not feel like value for money for...
Read moreYesterday, I had the worst experience at Ojin Bakes restaurant. I have taken a parcel of 8 porottas and a Gobi manchurian. Gobi manchurian was in no way what it should be. The dish was awful with unproportionate ingredients, and it had a sour taste. The porotta flour was not baked properly and was not beaten. I returned the whole parcel and told the cashier and server to taste the items and be the judges. I told them that I was not claiming any refund, but if it happens again, I will protest and approach the food safety people.
