Good vegetarian restaurant, 4 star rating because sometimes hygeine is somewhat less please take good care of it , sometimes ants were present in chapathis , never should this happens and cooking staff should be in hygiene especially non Kerala cooking staff other Kerala State cooking staff (Authority food safety government please 🥺 please never shut down this restaurant instead food safety department just ensure the cleanliness, it is not a bad vegetarian restaurant and vegetarian hotels are somewhat less and we are pure vegetarian ,and skandapuri is never a bad ,and snacks are tasty and good , And it was felt in the ac section cooking (mostly handled by outside Kerala staff) And normal non AC normal kitchen was almost all time purely clean and never felt lesd hygiene And food was clean and pure never felt contaminated

Read moreRecently visited Skandapuri Restaurant, Payyannur for lunch as a group of five people, and the experience was truly satisfying.
The restaurant offers very spacious parking and a calm, neat, and beautifully maintained atmosphere that sets a peaceful tone for dining. Though we were running late, the staff was welcoming and accommodating they even accepted our food booking over the phone in advance, which was a great help.
Four of us opted for their special vegetarian ilasadya meals, served traditionally on a plantain leaf, a wonderful touch that enhanced the overall experience. The meal was a perfect blend of Kerala flavors, with each dish prepared to perfection. The abundance of taste in every bite exceeded our expectations. One fried rice along with the gobi dish we ordered was cooked to perfection and complemented the meal beautifully.
The only slight downside was that the payasam was a bit thick, but overall, the food was delicious and fabulous.
If you're looking for an authentic vegetarian dining experience in Payyannur, Skandapuri is definitely worth a visit. It’s a celebration of Kerala's rich culinary heritage that leaves your tummy full and...
Read moreThey Call it Premium Vegetarian Restaurant, but the 'premiumness' is there only in the ambiance and price - there's a lot to improve in the quality & taste of food. 1st day I had Porotta and Chana Masala. Porotta would have been good had it been served hot, the Chana Masala Curry was not even worth 5 rupees to be frank. Towards the last bite I felt a soapy taste - needs to be more careful & use more water while washing dishes. I decided to give it another try before reviewing, so the next day I had Masala Dosa, it was much much better than the Porotta & Chana Masala I had from there the previous day but it also has to improve to reach the taste of the Masala Dosa available in nearby restaurants. They have just started, so hopefully they will overcome all these shortcomings in a while.
Preceding words👆🏻 are more than a year old as on today(14/05/2022); I had then given 3/5 rating considering that they were new in the field. Please have a glance at the timestamped photo I uploaded TODAY. Anybody may feel that I am being too generous by giving this restaurant a 1/5 rating, considering the cleanliness of the watery plate on which I was...
