This is one of the best restaurant in town with such a beautiful ambience and an incredible vibe. It has an added advantage that it is facing the lake. Sitting with a glass of kattan chaya facing lake is such a great feel. They have a covered dine in area and an open dine in area. The place is totally decorated with warm lights all the way. There is a chain of warm lights over top of the open dine area which looks so elegant. The idea of the restaurant has a kind of uniqueness in it. Eventhough the ambience is minimal, the detailing is that good enough too keep that uniqueness as it is. The dine in areas roofs and seats are made with wood to match the ambience and stays in touch with the nature. So, the kind of construction seemed much appreciable as it doesnt affected that natural environment around. It is made in such a that absorb into the nature and dissolves in it. There was a hammock near to the lake which was a diiferent idea and there were some concrete seating made near to the lake which was pretty good to sit and enjoy the evening vibe with a cup of hot tea.The food was very much naadan food in which we tried chappathi, pathiri, puttu and appam with swargathile beef, swargathile kozhi, beef fry, chicken curry, beef roast, veg kuruma. Chappathi was normal one, whereas puttu, appam and pathiri was fresh and very soft. Appam was very fluffy with a bit crunchier on edges. Puttu was very soft and was smokin hot. Swargathile beef was a dry gravy kind of dish which was made up of a special masala which has a special flavor was very popular among there dishes and was there speciality. The qaulity of the beef was remarkable and it was well cooked, the meat was soft and can be squeezed pretty easily. The masla went well into the meat which made the dish very delicious. Moving on the swargathile kozhi, it is almost the same kind of masala with chicken in it. As like beef the chicken waa cooked to perfection and was very soft juicy and succulent. They use medium sizes pieces of chicken so that it can be shared very easily as well. Compared among these two swargathile beef was the one which i like more. Beef roast was a thick gravy dish which was very tasty, with soft and succulent pieces of beef in it which was very delicious and reminded some of college days beef. Chicken curry was a coconut based gravy with two big pieces of well cooked juicy chicken with adequate amount of gravy in it. Beef fry is also good side, the quality of the beef was like what i said above, in addition there was some fried coconut pieces and curry leaves in it. All the dishes were fairly priced. Price to qauntity ratio was good enough. The dishes which they served had a very naadan in flavor. We finished our pretty heavy dinner with some fresh lime which was well balanced in flavor, there was no bitterness, tanginess level was perect and sugar level was pretty adequate and a black tea which is flavoured by spices like ginger, cinnamon etc in which the flavor of the spices was well balanced and was not over powering. The sugar level of the tea was well sufficient. All together it was an awesome experience. IT IS A MUST MUST TRY for their food and that priceless ambience and vibe. I am pretty sure that you will experience such an ambience and vibe in very few places. I went there, soon after they opened so that there was no sign board. So i am just giving a hint how to reach. Turn to kumalam north road, passing the over head railway bridge take second left. U van find padmasaliya sangam hall on oppsite side of the road. The restaurant is close to the Cloud 9 Resort kumbalam. Higly appreciating their customer services. The guys were walking to each and every table and asking the opinion to everyone on food and facilities. They were also noting the valuable suggestions from the customers. Hoping they will maintain such a remarkable customer service in future as well.

I recently dined at Swargam in Kumbalam and had a mixed yet overall pleasant experience. Here's a detailed review:
Ambiance and Cleanliness: Swargam offers a comfortable and welcoming ambiance. The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, creating a pleasant dining atmosphere. The decor is simple yet tasteful, contributing to a relaxed dining experience.
Food Quality: The menu at Swargam features a variety of traditional Kerala dishes and other regional specialties. Here's a breakdown of some of the dishes I tried:
Crab Curry: The crab curry was average in taste. While the flavors were decent, it didn't stand out as particularly exceptional. The portion size was also a bit smaller than expected for the price.
Pidi and Chicken: The combination of pidi (a traditional rice dumpling) and chicken curry was outstanding. The chicken curry was rich, flavorful, and perfectly complemented the soft, spongy pidi. This dish was the highlight of my meal and is highly recommended.
Pricing: The prices at Swargam are on the higher side, especially considering the portion sizes. While some dishes, like the pidi and chicken, offered good value for money, others, like the crab curry, felt overpriced relative to the quantity served.
Service: The service at Swargam was commendable. The staff were courteous, attentive, and prompt in taking orders and serving food. They were knowledgeable about the menu and provided good recommendations.
Facilities: The restaurant offers ample seating and has a comfortable layout. There is sufficient parking space available, which is convenient for diners. The restroom facilities were clean and well-maintained.
Overall Experience: Swargam in Kumbalam provides a mixed dining experience with some standout dishes. While the crab curry was average and somewhat overpriced, the pidi and chicken combination was exceptional and worth trying. The ambiance is inviting, and the service is efficient and friendly. Despite some pricing concerns, the overall experience was positive, and I would recommend giving Swargam a try, especially for their excellent pidi and chicken.

They provide a number of varieties of food such as Chapati, Pathri, Appam, Idiyappam, Putt and different types of chicken curry, beef curry, prawns curry etc. Black tea and different types of juices are also available.
Pre-booking is necessary to have food at this place. The working hours are from 3 pm to 11 pm. In the evening we can see the sunset very clearly from its compound. Ample car parking is also available there. Security personnel are available to control the parking. It is a little difficult for the elderly people, children and handicapped persons to walk through the car parking area because of the different sizes of rubble pieces spread all over. To protect the people, especially children, falling into the lake, fencing can be provided...
