I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with the recent experience I had while ordering from your esteemed establishment through the Swiggy app. It deeply saddens me to say that my encounter with your restaurant has left a bitter taste in my mouth, and I feel compelled to bring this matter to your attention. On 26 the December I placed an order for both appam and kadalakkary from your renowned restaurant. However, to my dismay, upon delivery, I discovered that only the appam had been included in the package. Realizing this discrepancy, I immediately reached out to the restaurant and lodged a complaint regarding the missing item. To my utter disbelief, the response I received was far from satisfactory. The manner in which your staff handled the situation was nothing short of rude and disrespectful. Instead of acknowledging the mistake and taking responsibility, they seemed unapologetic and attempted to brush off the issue as if it were insignificant. I was appalled by their lack of professionalism and empathy towards a customer who had clearly been inconvenienced. Moreover, when I insisted on receiving the missing kadalakkary or a suitable resolution, they offered to refund the undelivered item as a mere favor. This response only added insult to injury. As a customer, I should not have to beg for what I had originally ordered and paid for. It is inconceivable that such an establishment, known for its reputation, would treat its customers in such a callous manner. Furthermore, despite my attempts to seek a proper explanation or a satisfactory resolution, I was met with silence and indifference from your end. This lack of communication only served to exacerbate my frustration and ruined what should have been a pleasant morning. As a loyal customer who has frequented your restaurant on numerous occasions, I expected nothing but the highest level of service and quality. Regrettably, my recent encounter with your establishment has shattered this perception. I am writing this complaint not only to seek a resolution for my own dissatisfaction but also to bring to your attention the need for a more customer-centric approach within your organization. It is imperative that you address the issues of undelivered items, unprofessional behavior, and poor customer service to prevent such incidents from happening in the future. I hope that in reaching out to you, my concerns will be taken seriously and appropriate action will be taken to rectify the situation. I trust that you will investigate this matter thoroughly and provide a prompt and satisfactory resolution. Thank you for your attention...

I visited this place with my parents, my wife and my 2 year old kid. It was a Saturday and we reached the place at around 9am. We got the table quickly but there was no one around to ask for the order. We saw the menu attached on the wall which looked amazing with lots of varieties and items ( we saw atleast 20 items). We all picked one dish we wished to eat. waiter came after 10 mins with a very pitty face. Before we even start talking to place our order, he interrupted us and said there is only 5 items that we can order at this time. No masala dosa available which is my fav. We all ordered what he said was available. I ordered a onion uttapa which came with burnt onions. I told the waiter its burnt to which he replied thats hows we prepare it here and its not burnt. In the meantime while we were eating our food, the table next to us were served with food that was not available when we try to ordered, may be this place is having different menu for different table. We all ordered ulunnu vada as well, which is mostly an item that is prepared in advance so we thought we can get it fast. Our waiter told it is available initially but it didn't arrive even after 20 mins. I asked waiter can he serve us the vadas, he said yes ofcourse and rushed inside to get it. He came back in 2 mins and said vada is finished. 5 mins after this conversation the table next to us ordered and got sambhar vada. They are serving Chutneys and sambhar separately which is carried and served on table. I asked him for chutneey and sambhar, our waiter came back with chutney and said sambhar is finished. I decided to leave the place immediately and go to another restuarant. Our waiter came with coffee which we ordered 15 mins back. I said we are done we do not need it anymore. He said that he is happy to take it back. This is...

A Disappointing Foray into Kalpathy Cuisine: Taste of Kalpathy Falls Short

As a discerning food connoisseur, I was eager to indulge in authentic Iyer Pallakad Kalpathy cuisine at Taste of Kalpathy in New Kalpathy, Pallakad. Regrettably, my lunch visit was a crushing disappointment.

From the outset, the service was underwhelming. Disinterested servers and a chaotic kitchen set a worrying tone, foreshadowing a dismal dining experience. The unlimited thali, touted as a highlight, was an unmitigated disaster. Key ingredients were glaringly absent from the sambar, the avial was an insipid, watery concoction, and the potato curry was served with all the warmth of a refrigerated dish.

Over-fried papad and subpar rice further exacerbated the disappointment. When I requested additional food, the waiters seemed put off, begrudgingly obliging only after my second entreaty. The cold rasam and waiter's reluctance to serve it in a glass added to the frustration, while the yogurt, requested separately, was a sour, liquid travesty.

Upon exiting, I conveyed my disappointment to the management, who offered a perfunctory apology and a hollow promise of action. However, their lack of coordination was evident when they inquired about the payasam, which I had previously asked about.

In conclusion, my experience at Taste of Kalpathy was an unqualified disappointment. As someone who values authentic cuisine and exemplary service, I was appalled by the subpar food and indifferent staff. Pricing may not be an issue, but quality of food and service certainly is.

I implore the owners to take this criticism seriously and strive to improve. Until then, I caution fellow food enthusiasts to temper their expectations and consider alternative options that truly showcase the rich flavors and traditions of...

Discover the Flavors of Kalpathy at Hotel Taste of Kalpathy Located in the heart of Palakkad, Kerala, Kalpathy is a treasure trove of rich cultural heritage and traditional Brahmin cuisine. Hotel Taste of Kalpathy is renowned for serving authentic Agrahara meals that showcase the simplicity and flavors of this ancient cuisine. The vegetarian meals are prepared using locally sourced, fresh ingredients and rooted in the sattvic style of cooking. This traditional method avoids onion, garlic, and heavy spices, ensuring a light and wholesome meal. The steaming hot meals are paired with an array of accompaniments, including: Poricha kolambu: A signature lentil-based vegetable stew flavored with tamarind and spices. Rasam: A tangy and spicy soup made with tamarind, tomatoes, and a blend of spices. Kootu and Poriyal: Vegetable-side dishes that balance the meal. Payasam: A sweet dish made with jaggery and coconut milk, concluding the meal on a celebratory note. The meals are prepared using time-tested methods passed down through generations. The food is served on banana leaves, which is both eco-friendly and believed to enhance the flavor of the food. The act of serving and eating is ritualistic, symbolizing gratitude and mindfulness. The unique combination of spices and the influence of Palakkad Iyer cuisine make Kalpathy's Agrahara meals truly distinct. Seasonal produce and traditional methods ensure that every meal is memorable. Relishing a meal at Hotel Taste of Kalpathy is not just about satisfying hunger; it's an experience of cultural immersion. Food becomes a medium to connect with tradition, simplicity, and the joy of togetherness
