Bliss Regency — Hotel in Kerala

I recently booked a stay at Bliss Regency in Palakkad for October 31st through MakeMyTrip, selecting the flexible check-in option for 6:00 a.m. which was on MakeMyTrip website due to my early arrival from Bangalore. I made this reservation four days in advance and it was a non-refundable booking. However, a day prior to my arrival, I called Bliss Regency to confirm my check-in, only to be informed that my booking had been cancelled on the day I reserved it, without any notification to me.

I immediately contacted MakeMyTrip, who confirmed that they had NOT cancelled my booking, nor was I informed of any cancellation. Despite MakeMyTrip’s assurance, Bliss Regency insisted that the reservation had been cancelled on their end, citing issues with MakeMyTrip’s system.

This situation left me stranded, as Bliss Regency cancelled my booking without my consent or notification, and I did not receive any refund. Their lack of communication and accountability created a highly distressing experience. If I hadn’t called ahead to confirm, I would have arrived with no accommodation available, which is completely unacceptable.

A clean and well-maintained hotel with a touch of premium comfort, right in the heart of Palakkad town.

The location was perfect for my needs—ideal for travelers who want to avoid navigating through busy town streets. We stayed for just one night and checked in around 1 AM. Despite the odd hour, the staff and security guard were polite and welcoming, which we really appreciated.

Although we were hoping for a basic room at a lower rate, we didn’t receive much of a discount. That said, the rooms and bathrooms were spotless and well-maintained. The room came equipped with both AC and a fan, which was a nice bonus.

We enjoyed a complimentary South Indian vegetarian breakfast served between 8 AM and 10 AM on the top floor. The food and tea were delicious, and the restaurant staff were equally courteous.
