This resort has given me lifetime memories which I can never forget in my life. I went there in February on my birthday and this was one of the best decision I have ever taken for my birthday. This was my best birthday till now. They people arranged everything to make my birthday special. My boyfriend asked them for candle light dinner at the beach. You can imagine how exotic it would be, beach, candle light dinner, cake cutting at beach and your loved one. Staying in this resort where from room only you can see the beach view, pool and beautiful sunset is itself an amazing thing.

Room were so good. Perfect beach view you can have from your room itself and that cozy bed and balcony. You will get everything in room even if you forget any small small thing you will get it in the room. I have checked-in to many hotels, resorts as I am a traveller but still never seen these many things.

Service was really amazing. They will serve you very nicely. And people who are working are also in nature.

Now comes to Food. It was so delicious I never expected I could get some good food in kerala as I am from north and I don't like South Indian much but still I liked the food, the way they prepare I think I should have learnt that so that I could cook that in my home. Specially Kerala parantha with paneer butter masala, vanila milkshake are must have.

You can get some nice pictures as this place is very beautiful. I was so busy in clicking pictures that I couldn't go to other places in Varkala. I just explored 2 beaches first was infront of our room and Janardhan Swami temple.

Thanks to my boyfriend who...

First thing that I remember from my visit to this restaurant was the sea-view from the dining area. We visited in the afternoon and the elevated position of this restaurant made sure we had a great cliff view and ample breeze. Then comes the food. Options were decent. We were given the choice of fresh seafood to be chosen at our table for cooking. However the prices were as high as the restaurant itself. Opted for white pomfret BBQ. Taste was up to the expectation. However the table-service was below par for a restaurant of this standard. Had to wait for almost an hour to get the other dishes that we had ordered apart from the fresh-cook which disappointed us. There was no proper communication from the waiter. The restaurant has two floors with a hut-type roof which was cool. Liked the ambience at the top floor. Overall a nice place to beat the afternoon heat at Varkala while still enjoying its natural beauty.

PS1: This restaurant and the resort in which it is located has a strange but beautiful plant which I have not seen elsewhere. Maybe it's a common one but it was new to us.

PS2: There is a swing at parking suspended from the mid-height of two tall coconut trees. Do...

One thing we all miss a little when we are in south India is the veg food options and taste of north India, but wait if you are coming to Varkala then just take it in your notes, that this place gonna solve all of your problems of food in south India specially when you belong to somewhere in North, and they have also amazingly tasty options in NonVeg to that you shouldn’t miss too( if you’re a non-vegetarian) All the managing staffs have maintained it so good. They have researched a lot for your food taste and the hospitality is the best that you gonna ever get 😉

Also the view from this place is you shouldn’t miss, it’s situated right beside the beach, that is super clean and sometimes you can even see those stars clearly if the weather condition is good enough, just imagine having dinner with such a view 😍

The ambience of the place is superb, and absolutely a perfect place if you are coming here with someone special😉.

My 2 cents: Just have a Bcanti special Drink, you will fall in love with it...

Bait and hook has an absolutely great ambiance. I loved everything about the restaurant and resort except the food, it's not that I don't like it but it's just not up to the standard you would expect. I had the lemon grilled chicken which was a solid 8, the fish fingers I had was just average so I'll give it a 5(it was crispy tho), the hot and sour soup deserves praise so a 9/10 for the soup. Let me tell you this, I forgot all about the food and was immersed in the beauty of that place and I loved every bit of it. I even thought of buying the plac, LOL. Seriously, it's worth it. Money well spent. I would recommend people to go and walk around the place for a better experience. Bait and Hook must take the initiative or someone should to clean up that area because the other side of the cliff was dirty and stinky. 8/10 for Bait and Hook(for the view and ambiance)

It’s next to the seaside, it’s nice to hear the waves and observe the fishermen. The restaurant is done well with a lot of wood and quality elements, the many waiters are attentive and take good care of all your wishes. My partner and I had lunch and dinner over a span of 6 hours, and enjoyed our time very much, especially the sun set was breathtakingly beautiful. It was the most expensive restaurant bill we received during our time in India, but after all it’s just around 50€ for two people having dinner and lunch with coffee and juices. For European that’s fine, but considering that we could have the same meal in other places and pay less than half maybe is something to consider. What I have not seen in other restaurants are two tax positions on the receipt SGST and CGST, which amounted to 650 rupees or 18% of the total.
