I ordered a half kg White Forest cake yesterday as a surprise for my partner, with delivery scheduled for today by 1 PM. The cake itself was tasty and my partner loved the surprise — so that part made me happy.
However, the process was quite tiring. The first cake photo they sent had the writing completely messed up, and when I pointed it out, I was met with a lot of excuses — about no electricity, limited space on a half kg cake, etc. After some back and forth, they finally rewrote the message properly, sent me a corrected photo, and delivered the cake, after apologising profusely. I'll attach the before and after of the cake along with the review.
That said, they delivered it without informing me first and claimed I hadn’t mentioned it was a surprise, which caused a bit of confusion. I did tell the staff to please be more responsible with customer details and instructions.
In the end, the second version of the cake looked good, tasted great, and was delivered on time — but the lack of attention to detail in the beginning made the experience stressful. Please work on being more careful and responsive with orders — it really makes...
