FORGE AHEAD WITH FORGERY This is my comment about the Vasanth Vihar restaurant in Taliparambu, Kannur district, Kerala state, India. I, along with 51 people, visited this restaurant on 21.06.2025 saturday around 8.05 pm .We were returning after visiting the Kottiyur temple in the morning the Parassinakadavu temple around 4 pm. We were there in the magnificent Sree Raja Rajeswara temple, Taliparambu, Kannur District, Kerala state, India. After visiting the temple, we went to this restaurant at the instance of our bus driver, which turned into a terrible mistake since there were enough except a few all were negative reviews about this restaurant on Google. Coming to our experience in this restaurant complex, there is an A/C facility, a long hall in which around 40people can sit and eat, and this facility was used by my fellow pilgrims and an open space where around 10 people can sit and eat food. The common Kitchen to serve food is attached to the A/C facility, where the elite people dine in. We were in a hurry to eat and return since it was raining cats and dogs, and we had to travel back to our residences in Thrissur district, Kerala, INDIA. Keeping the urgency factor in mind, we enquired about the time at which we would be served the food, and the reply was normal time, which was told to be 15 minutes, and we all ordered the items. I gave order for fried rice and chilly gopy, and two ladies and two children in my bus were dining with me, and the order given was noodles for the children and chapati with curry for the ladies. The order was taken enthusiastically, but the food did not come to the table in time. The follow-up was done through the person who took the order, and the reply was would be delivered soon. At 8.45 enquired about the situation to the person acting as cashier cum manager and the reply was there is shortage of staff that was the prime reason and I suggested the noodles be served first since the children were hungry and were crying . Around 9:05 pm, my ordered items were on the table, but the prioritised item for the children did not appear. Our emotions got loose and on behalf of all of us I went into the A/C hall where the billing being done by the Manager cum Cashier was sitting and asked for details and a ready made SORRY was given and it was not acceptible to us since the prioritised item ie noodles was not served and another bout of SORRY and look into the matter came and at last all the ordered items were served around 9.25 pm. Conclusion: There is no ATITHY DEVO BHAVA concept that exists in the above-mentioned Vasanth Vihar restaurant, Taliparambu, Kannur district, Kerala, INDIA. In the Google review, there is no provision for a negative mark, so I with reluctantly gave one star rating, and my advice is NEVER EVER VISIT...
Read moreIf you have patience, then this place is a true test of it. They provide you with an opportunity to exercise your patience. During our visit, we encountered some significant delays in receiving service. We waited for almost 10 minutes for someone to take our order, despite having approached the reception twice. The person who eventually came to assist us did so without displaying basic manners, simply instructing us to wait for another minute. Considering that I was with my family, and we were all tired, we decided to remain at the restaurant. Finally, after nearly 20 minutes, someone took our order.
I will edit and post this review later, as I am currently waiting for the order, and it has been almost 10 minutes since it was placed.
N.B. It is important to note that if it had been a busy time in the restaurant, we would not have minded the delay, as it is normal to experience some waiting time in such circumstances. However, the situation we encountered was beyond anything I have experienced before, especially considering that there were only a few people present. I have witnessed far worse situations in other restaurants where the staff managed the customers more effectively. I hope the restaurant takes some steps to improve their service.
EDIT : I have visited this restaurant one more time and actually i could understand how well they have changed the time i sat they took my order and the staff's were extremely polite i could actually understand the complete difference from my first visit and this one... The meal costs 90rs but still I felt its worthy for 90rs with all the side dishes.I ordered Gopi fry too it costed 160rs but it was disappointing as i saw that the quantity was way too less....but tastes gud. I would recommend this restaurant if you prefer quality rather...
Read more1/5 stars Inauthentic paneer
Had lunch here as it used to be a good spot for vegetarians...so obviously paneer dishes should have been an authentic item and boy so wrong I was. This restaurant is in competition with other road side vendors you find selling fake paneers in Mumbai!. A processed soy or some rubbery substitute and far from being said "fresh"! No milky taste at all!The dish was a cheap imitation and serving such fake paneer is unforgivable. we didn't ask for a refund and also they didn't even feel the need to as we are may be one of those people who they don't need to run their fake / deceptive business! They did hav the courtesy to show the package label and the company is unheard of. May be the restaurant itself is unaware of the suppliers credibility! but their complacency says otherwise!
So this is to all those people who like paneer dishes ( don't know what all fake food items are served here) don't visit this restaurant!
Plenty of fake paneer are sold everywhere! And this restaurant is one that serves it also. Anyways I'm hugely disappointed and...
