Downright abysmal experience ordering from a place I had been meaning to try for ages, and I'mma break it down in this review strongly urging everyone to NEVER ORDER from Burger Singh.
I ordered the Chicken Churmur Pandey burger, Bihari Gosht Mutton burger and Dilli 6 Fries.
When you pay 232 rs for an order of which 22 rs is solely packaging, you absolutely don't expect your fries to be delivered open, without any packaging, I'd share pictures of it, other reviewers have commented how their fries were strewn inside, mine wasn't and that's quite the miracle, h/t to my delivery partner, I can confidently say it would have fallen in the majority of cases.
Now onto the food.
Churmur Pandey Burger: This was the best of all the items I tasted here and arguably one of the worst burgers I've ever had. costing 115 Rs, this is abominable I've had far far better burgers at 30-50Rs no kidding. Even Wendy's burgers which has a very thin slice of precooked patty in it is wayy tastier than this. This might be very slightly better than the lowest end McD burger but like comparing a burger with McD should tell you how horrible it is. The churmur sprayed in sauce so when it reached me it was just soggy rubber.
Bihari Gosht Burger: This takes the crown of the worst burger ever 💯, cost 105. Can't believe if the owners ever taste their own food. The mutton patty tastes like nothing, absolutely no flavor, and no sauces, picture some bland soya in between two extremely thin pieces of bread, it's so horrible you can't actually get this anywhere else coz no one in their right mind would sell it. This is worse than the worst cheapest blandest McD burger.
Fries : cost 89, disappointing, but not out of the world disgusting. The spice just had no flavor, I've had masala fries in delhi, don't dream of anything like that, you could make better fries by getting plain fries and sprinkling maggi magic masala on top, coz this one like everything else has no flavor either.
I called the number they had on swiggy to confirm my order instruction of no onions, there's actually no way to connect with a human, just an automated recording saying placed orders can't be modified. Then I tried calling the restaurant number from right here and it was again a franchise helpline bot that said it's closed, imagine the ridiculousness.
I was able to finally get the instruction confirmed by the rider when he reached the restaurant, kudos to him, and the instruction was correctly followed. Given how negative the review is, this is the only thing they did right.
The Make in India claim particularly stings, because every single burger you buy anywhere in India is made in India, no kidding, but tastes so much better than this place, it's like they wanna destroy the image of India's burger and fast food ecosystem with their shadow.
There are so many up n coming burger places like biggies, or burger in law which I absolutely love. But this review is mostly comparing with cheap burgers hence I compared against other burgers in the 80-120 range and yeah Burger Singh is the worst, whichever yardstick you use for comparison.
Finally I wanna reiterate that the reason I went to the extent of writing this absolute essay is how horrible the first impressions with packaging was and how the disappointing taste and horrid quality of the food completely destroyed the experience. To put it into perspective if I got all this food for Rs 100 instead of 232 I'd still be disappointed, this was worth no more than Rs 80 including both burgers and fries... yes it's THAT bad.

Read moreI used to order from this same outlet and the same item. one veg shacker + One Chicken Shacker. it used to cost me 112 rupee where 6 rupee is gst, 10.50 rupee is packaging and 3 rupee is Zomato platform fee. After one month today I ordered the same item and it costs me exactly 128.04 rupee where it says 7 rupee for gst, 3 rupee Zomato platform fee and now Rs 25 for same packaging(No changes). I think Rs 112 is too pricey for the order but it was still ok but for same thing 128 rupee is not worth it..when product quality and quantity is same. When I see it at price point of 112 it is still decent but if it costs me 128 in one month I think then judging total price at the price point it's not great.. Believe me I love those burgers I have given 5 star ratings before and I used to order almost in every 2 days. but seeing today it doesn't feel right. It's an emerging good fast food brand and budget friendly but packaging fee 25 is not...
Read moreThe Chicken Churmur Pandey combo is a great combo and offer provided at a really affordable price of Rs.140 which contains the burger, fries and the signature drink of Burger Singh "Gulaabo" which is a pink lemonade. The Amritsari Makhani Burger, Big Crunchy Burger are all top notch too with their unique perspective and flavour profile. The 2 mutton burgers Bihari Gosht Mutton, Lucknowi Mutton Burger however need significant improvement. The patties are dry with very less mutton and very little sauce which does not leave a good impression. Burger Singh is one of the better burger franchises in Kolkata and India. Affordable and top notch ingredients are used. Hope they maintain the quality in...
