Chai Break - Tollygunge — Restaurant in Kolkata

I have heard good things about Chai Break outlets. But today my experience at Chai Break Tollygunge was horrible. We ordered 2 coffees and one veg snack. The service was so late that our order arrived after over 50 mins of ordering. Moreover, we were served the wrong dish twice! The waiters were so confused about the tables and the respective orders that first we were served a pizza that we had not ordered, then a non veg snack which also we didn't order. Thankfully we realized that it was non veg before eating and sent it back. Finally we were served our coffee about an hour late but the coffee taste and quality was below average. Same with the veg snack we ordered. Alongside the service, the food quality was very disappointing. We have tasted much better food and coffee at small individual cafes, we absolutely did not expect this quality at a famous franchise like Chai Break. Even after the disastrous service, they included service charge in our bill. When we asked them to remove it and give us a new bill, they simply scratched out the extra amount from the old bill and did not even bother to generate a new bill. I recently visited Chai Break in Tollygunge and had quite a mixed experience. While the pizza and mushroom dishes were surprisingly good, the paneer dish was a total disappointment and the garlic naan was almost inedible. What really ruined the experience, though, was the customer service — we placed our order, and after about 10 minutes, the staff came back to reconfirm it, which showed a clear lack of coordination among them. recently went to this place during the midst of durga puja and i have to say everything was literally perfect, the restaurant had two rooms one for only smoking, the atmosphere was very cool and relaxing , its kind of a place you can go there with friends and family , we ordered four cheese pizza , cheese garlic bread , and bombay chutney sandwich. even though we ate continental at the restaurant we packed some indian food and it was delicious , tasty and fresh. the servers were very polite , they kept making some good recommended and special dishes of the restaurant and checked in constantly to make sure everything was going well! definitely recommend this place to everyone who enjoys good food and a comfortable...
