This a new chinese cuisine franchise in city, though they have some Korean and Indonesian dishes in their menu. I will rate this keeping in mind that it is an indo-chinese outlet after all ๐Ÿค˜ Let me share my group's experience from last week ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

Pricing - If I look just at the price, slightly upper on the costly side. If judged from the quality and quantity point of view, it's well justified along with the ambience, talking of which;

Interiors - The inside was nice and cozy with some good oriental interior designing. We were lucky to get seated on the only table with clear road view. The efforts of playing only oriental instrumental music is personally not appreciated. Either get some good library of tunes, or just stick to simple lounge music. Not everything needs to be overdone ๐Ÿ™†โ€โ™‚๏ธ

Food - The food was nice and on average, slightly beyond our expectations. The fish side dish was okay. Fresh and simple , nothing complicated and extraordinary. We ordered the Chicken Mee Goreng and Chicken Pad Thai. Both of those were excellent ๐Ÿ‘Œ Special points to the Chicken Pad Thai noodles for its simple yet flavourful combination of ingredients. ๐Ÿœ Things went south for the Pork Chops we ordered, the meat was very dry and there was far too much amount of lard than its acceptable, didn't enjoy this at all ๐Ÿ—๐Ÿ‘Ž. Also there's another story behind it which brings me to the last and the bad part of the story;

Service - Service was a bit slow despite having a relatively less rush at that time of the day. Also, we were being very casually misled by the waiter about the portion size of the starters. Upon asking for the first time we were informed that pork chops would be having 3 portions of pork, for which we confirmed and placed an order and took the time to decide our main course and side dish. By the time we were finished deciding, the waiter came back to inform us that the pork chops only contained 2 pieces, and not 3 pieces as he previously informed us. I asked if we could still switch orders as there were 3 of us and it was very dumb to entertain us with 2 pieces of pork chop. But the waiter refused and said that it couldn't be done and that he just came to update us from the kitchen. Not very cool! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

Overall, it was an okay experience. Food was okay. ๐Ÿ‘

Recommendation - for a change in taste you can have a try

N.B - Recommendation for the restaurant owner/manager, please give the staff a proper refresher training regarding the menu and how to assist first time...

The restaurant offers a wide range of dishes, including soups, appetizers, main courses, and desserts, all of which are prepared by experienced chefs who have mastered the art of Chinese cooking.

One of the signature dishes of Shanghai Flavours of China is the Shanghai-style dumplings, which are filled with minced pork and vegetables and served with a spicy dipping sauce. Another popular dish is the Kung Pao chicken, which is a spicy stir-fry made with diced chicken, peanuts, and vegetables.

The restaurant also offers a variety of vegetarian options, such as the stir-fried vegetables with tofu and the crispy fried eggplant. For dessert, customers can enjoy the sweet and sticky rice pudding or the deep-fried sesame balls filled with sweet red bean paste.

The ambiance of Shanghai Flavours of China is warm and inviting, with elegant decor and attentive service. Whether you are looking for a romantic dinner for two or a family gathering, this restaurant is the perfect destination for anyone who loves authentic...

This Shanghai Outlet is very close to my home. I was full of excitement when it was opened. They convinced me to buy a lifetime VIP membership which I will get a 20 percent discount at any outlet on weekdays except festivals. Food is very tasty but the portion size of the main course is a bit less. Service is good. But the point is what I will complain about is they denied me using a VIP membership card before the Durga Puja festival on Dwitya (a weekday) and said that festival already started. Durga Puja starts from Sasti officially and in most working calendars it is from Saptami. The management is very unpredictable and unstable about their offers. Now they say suddenly told when we went for dine-in that the Lifetime Membership card is no longer valid. The management had taken off the card. So firstly why did they convince customers to buy loyalty membership? So bad business strategy. I will not complain about service but the central management is the worst. They have a very bad...

Sanghai Restaurant โ€“ A Tasty Dive into Indo-Chinese Flavours! ๐Ÿœ๐Ÿค If you're craving bold Indo-Chinese cuisine with a punch of spice and aroma, Sanghai Restaurant delivers just that. The menu is packed with familiar favorites like crispy chilli baby corn, dragon chicken, Hakka noodles, and fried rice, all served piping hot and full of flavor. The taste of fish-based appetizers are just awesome.A must try. Mixed Hakka Noodles: Loaded with veggies and meat, the wok hei (smoky flavor) was on point. Schezwan Fried Rice: Spicy and satisfying โ€“ ideal for those who enjoy a kick. Ambience is simple but itโ€™s clean and comfortable. Price Point: Budget-friendly and great for group dining. Portion sizes are generous. Final Verdict: If you're in the mood for spicy, street-style Indo-Chinese food, Sanghai Restaurant wonโ€™t disappoint. Great flavors, hearty portions, and excellent value for money. ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ โญ Rating: 4.2/5
