👎🏻 Horrible Experience – Never Visiting Again

I visited The Rose Restaurant on 19/06/2025 for brunch with a friend, and I must say it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time.

We ordered a Chinese platter, and the presentation was unimpressive. The food lacked flavor, the prawns had a strange smell and were inedible, and the portion size was shockingly small for the price. To make matters worse, we waited over 45 minutes just for this one dish – completely unacceptable for any restaurant, especially during brunch hours.

I had an urgent commitment afterward, and the unnecessary delay caused me a lot of inconvenience. We even tried to cancel a drink seeing how long everything was taking, but the staff still brought it to the table. When we refused it (politely), a staff member taunted us in a very unpleasant and unprofessional manner. That interaction alone made the experience even more frustrating and embarrassing.

And to top it off, we tried their rainbow cake, which was not only stale but completely tasteless – clearly not fresh.

Overall, the service was poor, the food quality below average, the ambiance forgettable, and the staff behavior was highly disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone – it was a complete waste of time and money. Avoid if you’re looking for good food or...

I have been going to this restaurant for nearly 20 years now. It's close to my office therefore almost every week at least once I eat Palak paneer and Kulcha from this restaurant. Its location is really convenient. One can walk from Kankurgachi or phool bagan more to this restaurant. On ground floor portion they serve hard drinks as well. Cakes are also available here and they have very good collection to choose from. Cakes looked fresh and had various attractive designs. I have also tried Idly dosa Rava dosa. Masala dosa was really crunchy and tasty. Chinese food especially hakka noodles and manchurian are really good. Also Air conditioning was absolutely fine.For people opting for home delivery they provide very good packing in plastic air tight containers. Road side parking is available just outside the restaurant. During public holidays and weekends especially on Sunday there is crowd resulting in about one hour waiting period. All types of credit and debit cards are accepted here. Very close from here there is shopping mall and VIP market. Around two years ago we organised a food bloggers meet at this restaurant where many food lovers tried various food here and they all loved and enjoyed food here.
