Onam — Restaurant in Kolkata

My go-to place for sudden dosa cravings. I'm lucky to have spotted this cozy little gem of a restaurant beside VIP market.I'll bet you that the Paper Plain Dosas they sell are the most humongous and crispy Dosas that you'll ever have in your life. Moreover, the coconut chutney they sell is to die for and I always end up asking for extra chutney for my Dosas. While eating there, one thing is clear: one is never enough. Reasonable prices and awesome variety in their selection of dosas elevate them far above the regular dosa corners you find in mall food courts. If you don't know what you're looking for, go for the dosa platter (be sure to try the Garlic and Coriander Dosa if you've never tried it). If you like to have stuff like Cheese Dosa, please do not talk to me.

The idlis are the fluffiest ones I've ever had, and are extremely consistent in their texture (enjoy this with the aforementioned coconut chutney).

The filter coffee is to die for (even though they almost didn't serve it to me, taking over 40 mins to do so...

I recently visited Onam, a South Indian restaurant in Kankurgachi, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! The food was exceptional and definitely worth the price. The menu had a great variety of options, from classic dosas to unique and delicious Kerala-style dishes.
