Best for Hyderabadi Biryani but very costly!

Gonna be a long review because I'm passionate about good food.

See if you want to have Hyderabadi Biryani in Bhopal they provide you with the best one. The reason being the ingredients are fresh, and the manner in which it is served assures that it'll be delivered to you HOT. If still for some reason it isn't hot or you want to consume some time after it has been delivered, they provide you with useful components with which you can preheat in Dum.

But it's costly. A family of 3-4 could be left wanting for more in the 1 kg variant. I've got a big tummy n I am satisfied only when I order the half kg one. They've launched singles but I know it won't be enough for me. Plus I don't like any other biryani that they offer other than the Hyderabadi one. I had ordered Lucknow biryani once and I didn't like it.

I don't think many people would have developed taste of Kolkata biryanis which are served with Potatoes.

On the problem which people have with high cost I know BBK will raise the claim that since they deliver it fresh they charge high. Fair enough. But some things have left a bad taste in my mind.

When I had ordered on 50% discount offer from swiggy n another time when I had used my mom's phone to order n had used first time discount code, they served with fewer pieces of chicken.

Also I would recommend never to order anything other than biryani from here.

My recent order from BBK was of chicken korma and ulte tawe Ka paratha. Ulte tawe Ka paratha was recommended by BBK since Mughal rulers used to have ulte tawe Ka paratha with chicken korma. I made the mistake of trying to emulate a Mughal ruler. Just one thin paratha was delivered and they charged me 60/- for it. I felt cheated. How dare I, a common man, try to have a meal like a Mughal king. Thank goodness I had ordered keema paratha also which was incredibly tasty but still, I had to wakey mother up and asked her to cook steamed rice for me.

The chicken korma with brown gravy was fresh but it wasn't anything special. You could get that taste in any restaurant in Bhopal serving chicken korma or chicken curry at much less price. The thin, not so special, ulte tawe Ka parartha should cost at most 20/-. They charge 60/-. I took a picture I hope I had taken it.

Things like these deter me from ordering week in week out from BBK. I've learnt how to make more than decent Hyderabadi Dum Biryani at home only and it costs lesser than BBK n the quantity is also much more at home. BBK is only for days when you wanna have biryani but don't feel...

I got my order on time. It was super fresh and hot. Special mention to the packaging which was splendid & made me savored the whole order with my eyes first!

My order had Paneer biryani, Dal nizami, ulte tawe ka parantha and Double ka meetha. Experience with Biryani at home was great and Thanks to the guy who delivered it because he instructed us well in advance about the usage of AANCH which was accompanied with the order and the condiments which were at the bottom of the Handi. Paneer chunks in the biryani were also in good quantity. Daal nizami was super creamy and yumm & The dessert was bang on! The bread had the right amount of sweetness in it and the khoya Rabdi on top complemented it perfectly.

Salan, salads and chutney were also very nicely and hygienically packed.
