Unimpressive Food and Disastrous Flavors – Rajkumar Restaurant Needs a Serious Overhaul

I recently visited Rajkumar Restaurant and, to say the least, it was an absolute disappointment. I ordered two dishes: Chilly Paneer and White Sauce Pasta, and neither of them came even close to meeting basic expectations.

Let's start with the Chilly Paneer. Where do I even begin? The paneer was so tough and rubbery that I had to chew through it like it was some sort of leather. The texture was all wrong, and the sauce was completely bland—there was no heat, no flavor, just a tasteless, watery mess. If that’s their idea of ‘spicy,’ they need to seriously reevaluate their recipe.

Then came the White Sauce Pasta, which was an unmitigated disaster in its own right. First off, the sauce was so thick with flour that it completely ruined the experience—it felt like I was eating a thick, gloopy paste rather than a creamy pasta sauce. And to top it off, it was shockingly sweet. It tasted more like a dessert than a savory dish. I’ve never encountered a white sauce pasta that left me questioning whether the chef had mistaken sugar for salt, but here we are.

Overall, the meal was a complete waste of money, and I left the restaurant frustrated and hungry for something that actually tasted good. We went for two times consecutively considering the taste of an item we ordered for first time. First day, it was a weekday so no rush could be seen. In that situation we were treated with utmost sincerity. The next time we went was a weekend (Sunday). And they had big families on tables.

The previous day we had ordered Veg pulav and three types of Parathas. Everything was made properly and was served hot. Next day it was rush so they served what we ordered. Pulav had no salt in it, Cheese garlic naan had very less chees like almost no cheese. The staff was in rush for us to finish the food and empty the table. While we had just got food, one of them started asking if we need anything else, we said we were okay, the she insisted for finger bowl. Which annoyed us. THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN THE WORLD. The service is terrible and so is the food. The waiters weren't serving the food but my family member was... Then latter we order tandoori roti and it came out extremely hard and we couldn't even bite it. The glasses were veryyy smelly. Also we had to clean the plates before eating because of how dirty they were. The washroom is also a floor above is isn't clean but extremely dirty which caused some inconvenience. Later at the end they ended up taking all the money for the tandoori roti that they took back after we told them how terrible they were. The water in the fingerbowl was dirty too.
