Hunger Heist — Restaurant in Madurai

This restaurant managed to spoil my special day. The fancy restaurant name is very misleading. The first thing that struck me upon entering was the lack of neatness, besides the lack of space. The tables weren't clean and the guy who cleaned the tables also served us the food. For a themed restaurant, the lighting was poorly done and whichever angles we tried, we failed to take a single good picture. The burger didn't have a patty! And the stuffing was insignificant. The friend chicken pieces has streaks of blood that really put us off. When we pointed it out, they offered to replace it with something else. We asked for just one piece of boneless strip. Just as we were heading out for lunch, we stumbled upon this joint,as we glanced past the picture proclaiming INFUSED CHICKEN. Some captions plastered on the walls reminded us of CFK (reverse cooking, anyone) and the stomach began growling as the promised time of 10 minutes started swelling close to 40 minutes. We picked our package and headed home to unwrap the INFUSED CHICKEN and boy it was worth it. We also had Saucy wings for company which was decently spiced and felt good. The taste was like it was ok. The barbecue was bland and had no flavour as they said. They still need to work on taste. Ambience was very good. Really puzzled why it takes so long to prepare food and serve. Better to go as a couple as you get plenty of time for building chemistry. After lunch I asked for the bill, the cashier looked like 'we don't do that here bro'. After looking onto the bill, they charged 2.5 percent service tax in the name of parcel charges, which was not acceptable for the quality of service...
