Ambiance: Shanthi’s Kitchen is a delightful hidden gem in Madurai, offering a boutique-style garden restaurant that feels like a serene escape from the bustling city. The lush greenery and charming decor create a peaceful and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a leisurely meal with friends or family. The outdoor seating amidst the garden enhances the overall dining experience, making it feel like a special treat.

From crispy dosas to flavorful uthappams, there's something to satisfy every palate. Their selection of traditional sweets and refreshing beverages adds a perfect finishing touch to the meal.
Food Quality: We tried several dishes during our visit, and here’s a breakdown of our favorites:
Mushroom Masala Dosa: Flavor: The Mushroom Masala Dosa was a delight, arriving at our table quickly and perfectly crispy. The mushroom filling was savory and well-seasoned, providing a satisfying burst of flavors with every bite. Overall: ★★★★★
Onion Podi Uthappam: Flavor: The Onion Podi Uthappam was a standout, with caramelized onions adding a sweet depth to the dish. The topping of podi (spicy lentil powder) brought a delightful crunch and spice, making it a memorable experience. Overall: ★★★★★
Mini Podi Idly: Flavor: On the staff's recommendation, we tried the Mini Podi Idly, and it did not disappoint. Each mini idly was wonderfully soft and infused with the rich flavors of the podi, making it an irresistible choice. Overall: ★★★★★
Desserts and Beverages: Gulab Jamun and Rose Milk: Both the gulab jamun and rose milk were exceptional, earning a perfect score. The gulab jamun was soft and soaked in just the right amount of syrup, while the rose milk was refreshing and fragrant. Overall: ★★★★★
Service: The service at Shanthi’s Kitchen is impeccable. The staff is courteous, knowledgeable about the menu, and eager to provide recommendations. Our orders were served promptly, and the attention to detail in their service added to the overall enjoyment of our visit.

Shanthi's Kitchen / Shanthi's Veg is a must try for all those people who have food outside on a daily basis. The taste of the food is excellent and hygienic.
Pros:
Hygienic and neatly packed in plastic boxes so that when you buy a south indian meals, you don't have to worry about spilling when u take the parcels home.
Their mini meals option is so good and the taste is as good as a home made food. Mini meals is a must try here.
Cons:
It's a takeaway kitchen and you would probably have to order through swiggy/Zomato which probably is a good thing for millennials but might be a bummer for some older people.
They don't have a sign board placed that you might miss this place. I'll let you on a easy way to find this place - follow the Google location exactly and when the Google maps says you have reached the location, look for the house with swiggy/Zomato delivery partners standing out.. ;)
Some might argue that the price of the meals is Rs.115 and they give only Sambar, Rasam, Buttermilk, 1 poriyal, 1 kootu, Vadagam, Rice, Pickle and competition would provide many varieties for the same price or less, but I would like you deceide it after tasting their food. (I personally prefer that this is a good food, neatly packed and in a limited quantity which doesn't get wasted when ordered for 1)
You probably would have to wait 10-25mins to get your order packed and ready. Probably not for someone in a hurry. You could call them up prior to pack it...
A different atmosphere, a different team of women from the management to the staffs who run this pure veg shanthis veg a garden type restaurant is truly a defenite visit for the homely taste they provide. We visited for lunch not much of varieties was there in tiffin items but they had rice varieties in more numbers we tried special veg meals, Paneer platter (roti with Paneer gravy) , mushroom platter (roti with mushroom gravy), gulab jamun, payasam, special rose milk, lemon cooler. Taste of all dishes is truly and really homely I don't find colors, additives also in their dishes so a can visit place also they are new only to dining whereas they have been working as a cloud kitchen for long time it seems. Pricing looks a bit high defenitely but can try. Looking to visit them for tiffin visit once their timing is not as same as other restaurants they don't function on unusual and late hours be on time for breakfast before 10am, lunch before 2.30pm and dinner before 9pm, since it is a residential area parking not a problem in karpaga...
