Anandvan Gokhale Mala — Restaurant in Maharashtra

Had visited this place around 6 years ago. Having a fond memory of the good food we had had here, we visited Anandvan again yesterday. Sorry to say but the service and quality of food has drastically deteriorated. The service especially, those women meant to serve the food were extremely lethargic and negative in their approach. My daughter waited and waited for one of them to get the rice, to the point that we left the table getting frustrated with this attitude. To top it all, hygiene was a complete disaster. These women were serving the food with bare hands, holding the glasses and bowls with their fingers in them, yuckkkk. I don't think that the owners have ever seen the pathetic condition of the washrooms here. Being located on the highway, people would expect a good washroom facility, but this place is a complete no no. The person sitting at the entrance issuing the coupons was yet another lethargic person with no interest in the job he's doing it seems. Had thought of spending some good three four hours at Anandvan but we left within an hour's time. Hopefully the owners take a note of these things and strive towards making this place...

There was a time when Gokhale mala was good for food. It's absolutely not worth for the money customers are paying. Even if it's typical maharashtrian village food but they need to ensure food is cooked properly and it is tasty. My family and friends had really pathetic experience yesterday. Menu wasn't upto the mark. Food half cooked and not tasty. If customer is paying INR 300/- for usal, birnjal sabzi and pitla is it even worth to pay this amount if it's not tasty? Doesn't make sense. Management need to think about it else very soon they are going to upset many customers. Ambience wise also not at all good. Only natural greenery is there but that's natural what management is doing extra to give their customers good experience. They are not even bothered to take care of mosquitoes. Place is not maintained propery. It's like customers go for food , pay the amount which isn't worth and then need to go to hospital because they are bitten badly by mosquitoes. Malaria , dengue anything can happen. I don't recommend visiting this place for now. Really pathetic...

ASAL MARATHI FOOD This place has a fixed menu and serves pure vegetarian and Maharastriyan style food. The quality of food served is really good. Food is served hot and fresh. There is ample of place to sit and they can easily manage big groups. Food is not the only things here. They have a very big place with trees all around and you can relax on one of many kahtiya (Indian style local bed). If you go in big group you can arrange good activities here. Ambience : When you get to rest under trees what else do you need. One star here

Price: At 250 per person, I would say it's cheap. One star here
