Bake N Cake — Restaurant in Maharashtra

I cannot give any stars for sure, but for review to be posted 1 is mandatory.

If you know atleast basics of cake, never ever buy from this shop.

Scenario: Yesterday was an event, for which I bought a cake from this shop. Cake was - butterscotch flavored and heart shaped. My guests and family cursed me for the cake.

Issues:

1. The cake was stale.
2. the cream used was smelly and hard.
3. As butterscotch, they had heavily used butterscotch essense liquid to show that the cake is moist.

Next day I visited the shop with 75% cake intact. I asked for refund, and then salesperson called the owner. When owner came, she had a attitude that I'm the best Baker in the world. She argued and denied any refund. She said: We use costly fresh cream Other bakers in name of eggless, use eggs. Ask anyone to eat the cake and prove that this is stale. With no customer around, it couldn't be proved though as people around was her staff.

She said , you will not get any refund but you can get a replacement. To which I denied - I only wanted an apology and not even refund, as once event is spolied you cannot recreate it.

Conclusion: If you want a stale and smelly cake, please buy...

On my wedding anniversary 17th Feb 23, I visited the store for cake, got 1,while coming home, the box fell down and now u can understand the cake turns into halwa....base was ok but the top decoration was spoiled and my mode was off, me and my husband visited again to check if anything can be done. He said let me check with the person who do the cake decoration, and in next five mins he gave me a new design cake on the same base. After seeing it i was so happy. No extra he charged me.

I had a very disappointing experience with the pastries I purchased recently. Although they were sold as fresh, they had a bad smell and were clearly not fresh at all.

Additionally, the kitchen door was open, and what I saw was very concerning — the cleanliness and hygiene standards were shockingly poor.

We used to be regular customers, but after this visit, we will not be coming back and will not recommend this...
