Dakkhan: From Disappointing to Disastrous
After a lackluster first visit, where the loud music and inflexible policies made it clear that Dakkhan wasn’t suited for a quiet dining experience, I decided to give it another chance for a birthday celebration. Given the lively ambience, I assumed it would be appropriate for such an occasion. Unfortunately, this second visit turned out to be far worse.
From the start, the experience was riddled with issues. The restaurant demanded an unreasonable ₹1000 for a basic birthday setup, which we managed to negotiate to ₹500. Once we started ordering food, the service delays were unacceptable—waiting over an hour for dishes like Veg Crispy while enduring raw, inedible food like Chicken Banjara Kebab. The mismanagement was evident as even the manager seemed powerless to address the chaos in the kitchen.
Ultimately, after endless waiting and mounting frustration, we abandoned the idea of continuing with the main course and left to dine elsewhere. This experience was not only disappointing but also deeply frustrating, especially for a group of families looking to celebrate a special occasion.
If my first visit left me hesitant, this second visit has convinced me that Dakkhan is not a place I’d recommend—for celebrations...
Read moreToday I visited Hotel Dekkhan, Ambegaon. They have arranged Women's Day party with 800/- per person.I have paid half amount in advance. At the time of booking also I shown my concern about food to concerned person. In year, 2023 also we have visited the same place for same event. Food quality was not good at that time. This year in, 2025 it was disaster. We didn't get food to eat they have promised. We got only soup in starter menu as french fries are finished. After some dance we decided to have dinner around 10 PM. Roti, chapati, rice was over. There was only gravy remaining without single piece of paneer. They have promisesd to serve veg kolhapuri in offer. It was completely missing. They have arranged one food counter near Staircase 1 st floor. How ladies can walk, and go to 1 st floor. One of friend litterly just have vannila ice cream as the food counters are empty. They didn't have any management at all. It was total waste of money. This year's DJ was boring, total loss. I doubt DJ was not the person they have shown in advertisement. He was someone else. He was just playing songs in 80's-90's.No new bollywood songs, no English songs. The lady anchor took childish games which are not at all interesting.Overall I am not satisfied...

Last evening I visited this restaurant with expectations of enjoying a relaxed evening, but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory.
Firstly, the staff displayed a lack of professionalism and flexibility. Even simple requests for drink alterations were denied without reason, which is surprising and disappointing in a hospitality setting. The most frustrating part was when we had ordered four pints and then asked for them to be considered as a bucket deal—an entirely reasonable request—but they refused. Additionally, the Zomato discount was only applicable to the food bill, which felt misleading, as many places include discounts on drinks as well.
To top it off, the environment was not suited for a calm dining experience. The music was excessively loud, making any kind of conversation nearly impossible. This restaurant appears to be tailored strictly for parties and dancing, so if you’re looking for a place to unwind, have a meal, or talk over drinks, I would advise against dining here during dinner hours.
Overall, a disappointing experience that I would not recommend for anyone seeking a relaxed meal or a quiet discussion...
