Hotel 7/12 Lonavala — Restaurant in Maharashtra

Visited this place for lunch on 20th Nov 2022, based on the marketing they have done on social media.

I must say and warn you all foodie people that, this place is the most awful, unhappy, full of arrogant people till date, I came across during my outings.

1. At entry point, you have to take coupon for your choice of thalis(chicken/mutton) with bread(rice/jowar/bajra bhakri) and pay at the counter(where, if you enquire for the waiting period, you will get standard answer of half an HR waiting period)

Normally half an HR waiting is okay if you are visiting with your family and kids.

2. After taking food coupon, you have to stand in a long que(There is no number system on coupon neither they have manager to take care of the first come first serve, complete mess)

Ther is no sufficient sitting places while you and your family is wating(you need to stand during waiting)

3. Then the main drama of 7/12 starts a) Don't go by the way this people doing marketing, there is not a single service they provide which they are claiming they are giving(like kolhapuri food taste, experience of homely eating etc.) b) While waiting for your turn you come to know that, counter person has fooled you, by saying half an hr waiting( YOU HAVE TO WAIT FOR ATLEAST 2-2.30 HRS) c) Even if you have that much patience (if you are visiting with kids they will get irritated due to such long waiting), picture abhi baaki hai mere dost. d) After waiting for 2.30 hr that too standing along with kids(foodie people prefer experience over waiting) you get a table to sit. The food will be served at your table not before 45 mins after you sit. So called 7/12 managers take cate that you won't get food before 3-3.30 hrs after entering their premises (And interestingly on asking for long waiting period they answer that, they loved to make people wait for food after paying money) - sick mentality

4. If you are shaktimaan or some kind of hero to have this much patience to wait for 3.30 hrs, you get a tasteless food(not even 5% of kolhapuri food taste, which they claim in their advertisement and marketing on social media)

During our visit, it was shameful that, atleast 5-6 families returned back without food after waiting so long from their table(no apology or any concern 7/12 people showed to these families)

Thus, i sincerely request you don't choose 7/12 for your food stop. You will definitely get humiliate here.

Request Google to add option to provide blacklist option for such people in review, so that other people will...

very poor service- u need to call them number of times for anything... one server literally sat on chair middle of all tables watching YouTube... when we ask him will he or someone come and take coupon and serve food he just pointed other guy who standing their and he went back to his mobile we and other 2-3 tables were just sitting looking here and there about 10-15 min waiting if anyone going to serve us food.. all the serving people were roaming around... Then one boy came and he is the only one among all of them bring our food which was room temperature cold.. like it was cooked way before and they just put it in plate and bring to us without checking was it hot or cold. Thali are costly for whatever food they serving... Just for 2-3 pice of chicken or mutton you are paying 400 to 500+ after a thali... They served cold food to use we need call them to take the food back and atleast serve hot meal... When we told food is cold he directly dip his finger if food to check if it is really cold.. this is the service... Before the meal the person on coupon counter was so friendly and chaty the moment we told them about their staff behaviour he became so unresponsive.. another thing their was no water on tap they do not have water in washrooms either the day we visited... But on YouTube and vlogs they shows how much they care about serving people it seems like they only cater to you when you have camera and making vlog... Since they have coupon service so you have to pay before the meal... You left with no option if you like the food or not... Money is already wasted and serving people do not even care about your meal since they also not receiving any tips from the customers.. Extremely poor service....👎 I have no idea if other location has the same concerning behaviour... We only visited lonavala location and this was our experience we are not...

When we hear the name Hotel 7/12 the expectations are very high as It is very big brand in kolhapur. There are many You Tube videos. Let's Talk about ambience,it is pretty good. Maharashtrian Village Theme is there.They have well trained staff and nice service was provided.They gave homely feel to the customers.

I visited Lonavala branch today.In menu they told they are serving 10 types of Bhakri but at Lonavala branch They said they are serving only 3 types of Bhakri(Bajara, Jowar, rice). But on the day I visited only Jowar Bhakri was available.Bhakri was so thin and not roasted properly.

We tried 3 types of Thali. When it came to 1)Kala Chicken Thali- (kala chiken plate,kala Rassa,yellow rassa, bhat, 2 bhakri.) Chicken was totally black in colour and has burned onion flavor, average taste.

2)Kharda Chicken Thali- (kharda chiken plate,kala Rassa,yellow rassa, bhat, 2 bhakri.) Chicken was light green in colour. Cooked with green chilly. Taste was very nice. Gravy goes nice with the rice.

3)Dhangari chicken thali- (Dhangari chicken plate,kala Rassa,yellow rassa, bhat, 2 bhakri) Dhangari chicken Comes with some gravy, little more spicy than other varieties of chicken.taste was similar to kala chicken thali.

Kala rassa, yellow rassa is same in all Thali

4. Kala rassa - consistency was so thin. Not mixing with the bhakri properly. Taste was average.

5. Yellow rassa- Taste was not good. Only flavour of turmeric is overpowering the pallet not at all taste like chicken rassa.

6)Rice/Bhat - Rice served with Tempering of jeera in it.Not so much sticky.

You have to pay before the Lunch/Dinner.If you need anything extra they will ask for additional coupon.Overall experience was good but seems expensive.

Hope they will take this review under consideration soon....
