On a tiring afternoon during my trip to Lonavala, I came across this place, just 5 minutes away from the Varsoli Toll Naka. Having heard a lot about Jogeshwari Misal and Bhel as a brand, I couldn’t resist stopping by to finally visit this place. It was around 12 PM, the place was bustling with a lively crowd and a busy kitchen handling numerous orders.
I ordered the classic Misal Pav, and when it arrived, its simplicity stood out. The bright red tarri gave me a hint that it would be spicy, and it did not disappoint. The flavors were perfectly balanced with a moderate use of garam masala and red chili powder. The farsan served on the top of the misal was fresh and crisp. The portion size was just perfect. They also serve dahi on the side, so if you find the misal too spicy, you can add it to balance the spice level.
Despite the overwhelming crowd and limited staff, my order was served within 10 minutes, which was impressive.
If you are in Lonavala and want to eat authentic Misal, make sure to stop by Jogeshwari Misal and Bhel!

Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Jogeshwari Misal, renowned for its authentic and flavorful Misal. Their standard Misal is exceptional, easily the best in taste. However, when I tried their Special Misal Pav, my experience was somewhat mixed. While the addition of taak and a water bottle was a thoughtful touch, and the extra ingredients added a unique twist, it didn't significantly elevate the dish beyond the regular Misal Pav. It was enjoyable but didn't quite live up to the 'special' label. Still, for a classic Misal craving, Jogeshwari Misal remains...
