Rajwada Hotel – A Taste of Royalty at Wadmukhwadi

Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at Rajwada Hotel in Wadmukhwadi, and the experience was nothing short of delightful. True to its name, the restaurant offers a royal ambiance with traditional Maratha-style décor, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The menu is rich with authentic Maharashtrian and North Indian cuisine. I tried their special thali, which included a variety of flavorful sabzis, dal, chapatis, rice, and spicy curries that reminded me of home-cooked food. Their chicken handi and mutton thali are quite popular and lived up to the hype — the meat was tender and well-marinated, bursting with traditional spices.

The service was fast, and the staff was courteous, always ready to offer suggestions. The seating is comfortable and spacious, making it a good place for families or small gatherings.

One of the standout features is the value for money — generous portions at reasonable prices. The location is also easily accessible from the highway, making it a great stopover for travelers heading towards Pune or Chakan.

It just looks good from outside. There's nothing good inside.. The staff didn't even give us glass for water when we went it. We gave the order and while ordering we asked for his suggestions, but he did not anything. We went ahead with our understanding and ordered some starters. Even after 20mins the starters were not brought. So we thought let's order main course because that will also take time. After waiting for around an hour, there was not food brought. When I asked him for an update, he said your "thalis" are just abt ready. But we never ordered any thalis. We asked him to just get the correct main course, because it was already over an hour. He got the veg dish. It was uncooked. We just left after that.. Everything was unacceptable. They spoilt the experience. On top of that, the staff was a little rude and untrained. There were insects falling in the plate. Everything was just so mismanaged and dirty.

Feels like a royal place when we say Rajwada. But They will take your order and make you comfortable. After sometime, they will ask to change the order. And after sometime they will forget to serve you the thing you ordered. After asking, they will say that they will serve in 2 mins. I am confused how they make a 15 min starter in 2mins and if it's possible then why do they ask to wait for 15mins when we order in beginning. And the height, they will ask you whether they can serve the starters with food. I am confused whether they understand starter or not. What a terrible experience on such a good day even after paying.
