Parakh was on my list for Kolhapur Special Tambada Pandhara Mutton Thali after having wonderful experience with Dehaati.
We were family of 10 with including 2 kids and went for Dinner in December 2023 Kolhapur visit.
Location - 5/5 The Parakh Hotel is located on the Main Street and can be easily accessed when you are Kolhapur city.
Parking - 5/5 It has ample parking space but you will always need some waiting time for parking slot considering its popularity and continuous visitors. The security guards help you locate empty parking lots and placing your vehicle in available spaces.
Seating Arrangements & Ambiance - 4.5/5 Ambiance is quite simple but they have arranged the sitting tables quite nicely to accommodate large number of visitors. There are 2 sections - one for Families and another for groups/individuals. They have 20-30 chairs for customer’s waiting for their turn.
Food (Quality, Quantity & Pricing) - 5/5 We ordered 5 Special Mutton Thalis, 4 Special Chicken Thalis. Both the thalis had unlimited Tambada Pandhara Russa which was just yummy and typical Kolhapuri in taste. Chicken Sukkha & Mutton Sukkha was really mouth watering for non veg lovers. Chapati, Rice was freshly cooked and was of good quality. Pricing of such an amazingly delicious food is on average and on pocket friendly side.
Staff & Service - 4.5/5 The staff was polite, courteous, approachable and attentive. They are quick with the service and maintains good hygiene and cleanliness. They also shown willingness to modify some changes in the order which was really nice to see in such a big restaurant.
I would Highly Recommend Hotel Parakh for all...
Read moreRight up front I have to say, what a great place to stop on my way back home. I made a visit to kolhapur especially to have the mutton thali with tamda pandra rassa and I was not disappointed in the least. If you are driving in the late evening or night, keep your eyes peeled, Parakh is surrounded by a lot of bright lights and they just merge into one. First there is ample parking space and plenty of help with parking. If you are travelling the highway, then note that the washrooms are clean and well appointed. The service is excellent. The mutton thali arrived really quickly. One wati of mutton sukha. A mutton kheema and 2 watis of orange and white rassa. I experimented with a spoonful of rassa, it wasn't great and I quickly movednon to theutton and the kheema. Both of which were well spiced and altogether quite awesome. But the 2 rassas haunted me and finally I asked the waiters how they were eaten. With understanding smiles they explained various ways of consuming the rassas. One said 'take a bite of the bhakri and then take a sip of one of the rassas', another said 'rip up the bhakri and dump it into the rassa'. Count to 10 and fish out a piece, add some chopped onion and enjoy. Now, now this was soooo good. This was glorious mutton broth which has been spiced. The tamda rassa is spicy and the panda rassa is subtly spiced. The only thing I could have wished for was a cold. I kid you not, this is the type of food that will just clear the...
