The delux mutton thali in the image looks delicious! I would definitely give it a try if I had the chance. Here is my review of the dishes: Mutton Ghee Roast: This was the star of the show. The mutton was cooked perfectly, and the ghee roast marinade was flavorful and savory. I would definitely order this again. Mutton Masala: This was a bit on the milder side, but it was still flavorful. I would have liked it to be a bit spicier, but overall it was a good dish. Mutton Kheema: This was my favorite dish of the thali. The mutton was ground perfectly, and the spices were perfectly balanced. I would definitely order this again. Tambada Pandhara Rassa: This was a bit of an acquired taste for me. The tangy tomato flavor was a bit too much for me, but I know some people would really enjoy it. Rice: The rice was cooked perfectly and was a great accompaniment to all of the dishes. Overall, I would definitely recommend this thali to anyone who loves Indian food. The mutton ghee roast and mutton kheema were the standout dishes, but everything was well-prepared and flavorful. I would definitely give this thali 4 out of 5 stars. I hope this helps!

Visited The Thalis in Kolhapur today with a lot of excitement after hearing good things. We ordered their popular Jatra Mutton Thali and Toop Mutton Thali – both were delicious and full of rich, authentic Kolhapuri flavors. The meat was well-cooked, the gravies were spicy and satisfying, and the accompaniments like chapatis, rice, and solkadhi complemented the meal perfectly. However, while the food quality was impressive, the overall experience had some drawbacks. The waiting time was extremely long, and there was no proper system in place to manage the crowd. We had to wait for nearly an hour before getting a table, which really tested our patience. Also, one major inconvenience was the lack of parking space – we had to park far away and walk to the restaurant. If you’re someone who doesn’t mind waiting and is looking for authentic Kolhapuri non-veg thalis, then this place is worth a try. But I would definitely suggest they work on crowd management and parking arrangements to make the overall experience smoother. Good food, but the service and logistics could use improvement.

I recently dined at Hotel The Thalis and opted for the Chicken Fry Thali. The variety of dishes, including chicken fry, anda curry, solkadi, tambda rassa, pandhra rassa, and dahi Kanda, lived up to expectations in terms of taste. The ambience added to the overall positive experience. However, the waiting time of 30-40 minutes was a bit lengthy. I particularly enjoyed the flavors of tambda pandhra rassa and the chicken fry. One downside was the relatively high price of the Thalis compared to the market. Moreover, there was a bit of confusion with multiple waiters approaching our table, repeatedly asking what was required. Even after placing an order for extra chapati, another waiter would inquire about our needs. Despite these considerations, my friend tried the mutton fry thali and also had a satisfying experience. In summary, The Thalis offered a good dining experience with excellent food and ambiance, but some improvements in pricing, waiting times, and coordination among staff could enhance customer satisfaction.

I was in town for a day. Asked few people around for Kolhapuri delicacies. I knew there were many delicacies one can try out but I was already skipping my breakfast and it was nearing lunch time. So I specifically asked to Kolhapuri Thalli as it would best culmination of dishes in one serving. I got mixed reviews and options. Well, Google came in handy. Searched Best Kolhapuri Thali, and this place popped up. I went through the reviews and comments and quite impressed I reached to restaurant before their Lunch hours.

Ambience and Service: 4/5 Pleasant ambience, not much crowd.( Maybe because I was early) Soon foodies joined in one by one. Their staff service is great, friendly gesture throughout, minimal staff but they try their best to cater to our needs.

Do note that the restaurant has separate opening hours for Lunch and Dinner so do check the timings before you plan your visit.

Food:5/5 I went for Jatra Mutton Thali, well when the mutton is softer than the Chapatti(Chapatti was just like a homemade fluffy chapatti) you know you have come to the right place. I have no comments on the mutton dishes it was great punch to my palette. Pandhra Rassa lead me a pathway to a different dimension of taste. I have no idea if I have had anything like that. First time I tried it and to be honest I loved it. Where in the world was I, why haven't tasted this yet. Had to question my food choices for a bit. Leaving that aside, rest all dishes are good, complimenting the main dishes and have a soothing taste.

My First Kolhapuri Thali experience, definitely going to stay in...

If you're in Kolhapur and craving an authentic, memorable dining experience, The Thalis Restaurant is an absolute must-visit. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with warmth and hospitality that sets the tone for a wonderful meal.

The highlight of the restaurant, of course, is the thali itself. Each plate is a delightful celebration of traditional Maharashtrian flavors, meticulously prepared with fresh ingredients. The variety is incredible, with every dish offering a burst of flavors that perfectly balance spice, sweetness, and tanginess. The portion sizes are generous, ensuring that you get a full experience of the local food culture. The service is impeccable, with staff always attentive, friendly, and eager to explain the nuances of the dishes if you're unfamiliar. The ambiance is simple yet cozy, making it perfect for both family outings and casual dinners with friends.

In addition to the food, the cleanliness and attention to detail make The Thalis a comfortable and pleasant place to enjoy a meal. Whether you're a local or a visitor, this is a place that captures the essence of Kolhapur’s culinary heritage, and it certainly lives up to its stellar reputation....

We heard alot about this restaurant so we visited The Thalis on Sunday 9.pm. We waited for 15min in waiting area.

Food quality - Top Notch.. only word I can say about food quality. Mutton quality was mind-blowing as I am hardcore mutton lover I can judge easily. Juicy and tenderness was lovely. TAMBDA AND PANDRA was ultimate .. chapati was just like homely feeling, kheema and rice was too good. No restaurant in kolhapur other than The Thalis can give such amazing taste trust me I have visited maximum thalis from kolhapur. Service - good management and prompt waiters with helpful nature and smiling faces.

Ambience - from outside u can't u guess about it but cleanliness and aroma of food when u entered in A/c dinning was excellent. Heyginc place. Even they have great ambiance on 2nd floor tarrace garden with live music singers. This was out of my expectations for thali restaurant in kolhapur.

Guys I m from Pune I visit the thalis with local people recommendation but trust me this restaurant and management is best example where how local and authentic food from city can be given with well management and with top notch ambience and with good hygiene.

HIGHLY...
