Jogeshwari Misal and Bhel at Somatane Phata is a gem for misal lovers, and it holds up the high reputation of its famous Kesnand branch. Having visited this outlet twice, I can confidently say that the quality of food here is excellent and consistent with other branches I’ve tried.
Misal The misal at Jogeshwari is the star of the menu. The flavors are bold and perfectly balanced, with the right amount of spice to give it a satisfying kick without being overwhelming. The farsan adds a delightful crunch, and the tarri (spicy gravy) is rich and flavorful, making each bite enjoyable. One of the highlights is the perfectly cooked pav (bread), which complements the misal wonderfully. They serve the misal with extra tarri on the side, allowing you to adjust the spice level to your preference.
Bhel While the misal is the standout dish, the bhel at Jogeshwari Misal and Bhel is equally delightful. Fresh, tangy, and crispy, it’s a great option if you’re in the mood for a lighter snack. The balance of chutneys, puffed rice, and crunchy sev creates a flavorful burst in every bite, making it a great companion to the spicier misal.
Ambiance and Service The ambiance at this Somatane Phata outlet is simple and functional, focusing more on the food than the décor, which is typical for most misal joints in Pune. However, the place is clean and well-maintained. The service is quick and efficient, with the staff being polite and responsive.
Overall Experience Overall, Jogeshwari Misal and Bhel at Somatane Phata lives up to the high expectations set by its other branches. If you're a fan of authentic, spicy misal or just looking for a good meal in the area, this is a must-visit. I’ve enjoyed my meals here both times and would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves traditional...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Jogeshwari Misal Restaurant and bhel, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations for a misal lover like myself!
From the moment I walked in, the aroma of authentic spices filled the air, setting the stage for a culinary adventure. The ambiance was warm and inviting, creating the perfect atmosphere for a delightful meal. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the misal! It was an absolute flavor explosion. The combination of sprouts, farsan, sev, and the secret spice blend was nothing short of perfection. The spice level was just right for me, providing a satisfying kick without overpowering the other flavors. The misal was served piping hot, and each bite was a journey through the rich culinary heritage of Maharashtra.
The menu offered a variety of misal options, allowing for customization based on individual preferences. Whether you prefer it extra spicy or medium spicy,Jogeshwari Misal Restaurant has got you covered.
The portion sizes were generous, and the presentation was visually appealing. The misal was accompanied by a selection of traditional condiments and fresh pav, enhancing the overall dining experience.
To top it off, the prices were reasonable, making it a great value for the exceptional quality of food and service. Jogeshwari Misal Restaurant has officially become my go-to spot for authentic and delicious misal in town.

Read moreI recently visited Jogeshwari Misal with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience was not very good. The quality of food, especially the buttermilk, was disappointing. The buttermilk tasted bland and did not feel fresh at all, which spoiled the overall meal experience. The misal itself also lacked proper spice balance and authentic flavor, making it quite average compared to other well-known misal spots in Talegaon.
Hygiene and presentation could also be much better. When it comes to a dish like misal, freshness and taste are most important, but here both were missing. For the price charged, the value for money also did not match the quality provided.
If you are a misal lover and looking for a better experience in the same area, I would strongly recommend trying Morya Misal nearby instead of Jogeshwari Misal. Morya Misal offers far better taste, spiciness, and overall satisfaction, along with good quality buttermilk that perfectly complements the misal. Many locals also prefer Morya Misal for its consistent quality and hygiene standards.
Overall, I can only rate Jogeshwari Misal 2 stars out of 5. They really need to improve the taste, freshness, and especially the quality of buttermilk if they want to match the level of competition in Talegaon. Until then, Morya Misal remains a much better option for anyone who truly wants to enjoy authentic and tasty misal...
