Upon my recent culinary endeavor, I decided to indulge in a quartet of dishes: roasted chili pork, pork ribs, nasi goreng rice, and chicken pad thai. Intriguingly, the establishment reached out to propose a substitution for the ribs, a gesture that is commendable in its intent, though the conversation was slightly mired by a linguistic barrier.
To the heart of the matter, the presentation was adequate; however, the culinary execution left much to be desired. The roasted chili pork, anticipated with much fervor, was regrettably sodden with oil and bore an unsettling texture that deviated from traditional pork. Furthermore, there seemed to be a discernible imbalance in seasoning, and its preparation felt more akin to a simmer in soy and oil than a true roast.
The nasi goreng, a dish I approached with great anticipation, tragically fell short of expectations. Post consumption, I found myself feeling quite unwell, suspecting an issue with the vegetables incorporated within, possibly due to the usage of subpar frozen produce. The dish's unpalatable nature was such that even my canine companions refrained from partaking.
As for the chicken pad thai, my travels to Thailand have acquainted me with the authentic flavors of this dish. Regrettably, this rendition bore scant resemblance to the genuine article, reminding me more of a rather uninspired pasta amalgamation.
Considering the premium I paid, the disparity between cost and culinary quality was palpable. While popular rating platforms may laud this establishment, my experience was regrettably lackluster. This episode has rather unfortunately marred what was to be a delightful weekend evening. Such is my...
Read moreVisited Kimling Rush Pimple Saudagar for a family dinner night .. we reached around 8:15pm on a Monday hence managed to get a seat without much hassle or waiting. We were a family of 5 hence opted to be seated on the sofa +chair seat.. any group of more than 5 members will find difficult to be seated comfortably since their seating arrangement is too compact n caters to only 4-5 count per group... Parking also was available right opposite the restaurant. Soups and starters were good... Main course was pretty ok (nothing great or jaw dropping). Ordered the Kimling special soup, TomKha and Manchow soups. Starters ordered :Drums of heaven (dry fry chicken lollipop) n pork ribs (falling off the bone and nice and chewy.. coated in sezhuan sauce like gravy..) For main course they have the options or food combos, rice/noodles of your choice with wanton/spring roll/satay. We selected the Nasi goreng with Fried egg on top and Satay (2 sticks) also ordered a bowl of Hakka noodles .. Total bill came to about 1500rs. Pros: Fast service Good starters Good options in main course Simple and clean place
The main course was rather bland... Not memorable enough.. else I would have...
Read moreThe restaurant boasts an appealing decor and a clean, pleasant ambiance. The food certainly stands out with its great taste, and the service is commendably swift; orders are prepared efficiently without much waiting time. The ample parking space is a plus, although the shared unisex restrooms can get a bit messy due to frequent use. Overall, the dining experience was amazing.
Situated near Planet Millennium, a place I've been living at for three years, I had long-awaited a visit to this Chinese and Thai restaurant. However, I was somewhat disappointed to find that it didn't quite live up to the anticipation. The restaurant felt congested, and the food, while good, wasn't extraordinary. The veg Thai green curry and dumplings were decent but fell short of being exceptional.
In summary, our visit was satisfactory, but it didn't leave us eager to return. I would rate Kimling Rush at 3 out of 5 stars. The food was good, and the service and atmosphere were pleasant. Nevertheless, the prices seemed a bit high for what we received, and I believe there are better Chinese restaurants in Pune to explore before considering a return to...
