A Convenient and Tasty Pit Stop: McDonald's at The Foodway Review

I recently stopped by the McDonald's outlet at The Foodway food court, located near the Khalapur Toll Plaza on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. As a traveler, I was looking for a quick and satisfying meal, and McDonald's did not disappoint.

Grilled Chicken & Cheese Burger We tried the Grilled Chicken & Cheese burger, which was cooked to perfection. The chicken patty was juicy and flavorful, and the melted cheese added a nice creaminess to the burger. The bun was soft and fresh, and the lettuce and jalepeno added a nice crunch.

Pizza McPuff We also tried the Pizza McPuff, which was a delightful surprise. The crispy puff pastry was filled with a flavorful pizza sauce, melted cheese, and toppings. It was a nice twist on traditional pizza, and we enjoyed every bite.

Ambiance and Seating The Foodway food court has a common seating area, which was clean and well-maintained. While there is no separate seating area for McDonald's, the food court's seating was sufficient and comfortable. One of the unique selling points of this location is that you can find food early in the morning, which is a big plus for travelers and early risers.

Verdict Overall, our experience at McDonald's at The Foodway was positive. The food was tasty and satisfying, and the convenience of having a McDonald's outlet at a food court near the highway was a big plus. While the seating area was not exclusive to McDonald's, it was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stop by again on our next road trip.

We've had two incidents where items we paid for were missing from our order. The first time, we didn’t receive the water we purchased and let it slide. However, during our recent visit, the chicken nuggets we ordered were not included. This time, we called the outlet to report the issue. While they acknowledged the mistake and directed us to pick up the missing item from another McDonald’s on our route, it required unnecessary coordination and inconvenience.We eventually got the missing nuggets, but the experience could have been smoother. I strongly suggest the staff ensures orders are complete and customers verify their items before leaving. It’ll save time...

The McDonald’s outlet on the Mumbai Pune Expressway served me one of the worst burgers I’ve ever seen. The patty and cheese were smelling like garbage literally rotten and disgusting. It was clearly old, stale, and absolutely unfit for consumption. This is not just bad service, it’s a complete failure of hygiene and food safety. Serving such food is unacceptable and dangerous.
