I have been a patron of this eatery since almost 15 years. Since the days it was like a canteen. I've seen ups and downs in terms of quality and consistency over the years. However, it's been my go-to joint for Dum Biriyani. But, my recent experience has been absolutely nasty. Last time I ordered 1 kg M.D.Biriyani. The qty was sufficient for the price but 2 major disappointment. A. The bottom was heavily burnt, the masala including the meat & onions was burnt making the whole biriyani taste smoky (in a bad way) and bitter! B. The meat to rice proportion was a joke. In the entire biryani, there were not even 10 pieces. This was meant to serve 6-8 people. We had to hunt for the meat, it was that bad. Unfortunately, it's the blind trust we put on the hotel to do justice to the food we buy. And these people take us for a ride. Luckily, I could prove that the food was badly burnt, see below pic. This problem was acknowledged by the owner. But, he had no remorse, No apology. Business as usual. Secondly, What irked me was, after my first post 3 days back, I got a very abusive call from the owner threatening me to delete my post. Hence, I am posting here once again. Truth needs to be told. He alleged that I am liar, and started abusing me. I didn't hold back either. There's no way I can prove that meat was very less. But, to a customer he needs to show respect...
Read moreNever knew about this place until I had a meeting at that location and then my colleague mentioned about it. It is not a fancy place at all, just a shed with 2 sections One for general public and 1 as family room. However, they have tried to keep the place neat and tidy The people working in that area generally have their lunch at this place. This place is actually famous for biryani but you get other food items too like Roti and sabzis and chicken items. On placing the order I told the server to give me onions along with my biryani, I was surprised to see the entire plate of salad nicely cut, fresh and presented in front of us. First, we thought it was chargeable the way it was presented. The server was very good in serving us and was giving very good vibes. Then the Biryani plate came in with Raita and some gravy of chicken for each person in small bowls. The biryani was damn tasty but off course oily, wish they could have kept the oil less. The masalas was in right quantity and made the biryani awesomely tasty and I enjoyed eating it, as the biryani was not dry. The pieces in the biryani were nicely cooked and succulent. Must visit place to try their biryani for sure. I will make it a point to visit this place again when I get a chance and that would be soon. All...
