Ekdanta is relatively new veg restaurant, has wide space and reasonably good decor inside. Entrance is beautiful too.
They serve pure veg food.
Servers were hardly 4. For this size of dining space and tables they need atleast twice the numbers. We got seated quickly but the menu card was not simply there! Waiter was actually searching for one. Finally, he got one and then handed over to us. For a considerable good decor, the menu card was hardly worth showing off. Couple of laminated pages stapled with a pin. That's all. Menu was also not very wide ranging. But it's okay. They have probably opened recently.
While we waited we had Masala Papad which was very good. Rest of the food Diwani Handi, Veg Crispy, Dla fry, Paneer Lababdar , Roti and Naans , we ordered as take away. 15 to 20 minutes or little more they took to pack everything and we were off to home.
Veg crispy was awesome. One of the best I have had in the veg side of a food choice. Dal fry was good. Thick and satiating. Rotis were less than average sized , should make little bigger in diameter.
Diwani Handi had greenish curry and vegetables in it were cooked well. Fresh with a good taste. Gravy wasn't very Spicy.
Paneer Lababdar was red gravy with tiny chunks of a Paneer. We felt Paneer was very less and over all portion size didn't justify the price, for both veg main course.
While in hotel, we observed the dishes came with a plentiful of food stuff, but parcel was something much less . If we compare to established veg restaurants in Ajmera these were atleast 20 to 30 % less.
Taste was okay. Nothing wrong in it. Nothing special about it too.
Crispy veg was the best. Rest has no unique prepration or something to yearn for. Average taste, but at a high price point.
Suggestion is, they need to hire more people immediately. The waiters were good and very well behaved. But they can't manage the whole show with such a short manpower.
Owner / Manager got our parcel , we gave him feedback about the lack of resources. He acknowledged and he too was probably looking to hire more.
At the end, all I can say, is best wishes to get over the shortcomings and make their own mark. And increase the quantity in parcel in line with the market trends.
Good for a family visit....
