SAI Veg Cuisine Restaurant - Best restaurant in pune — Restaurant in Maharashtra

I have visited this restaurant 3 times but it turned out to be disappointing every time.

I think the only reason why people are visiting it is that, it is the only Veg restaurant in Punawale area with decent ambience and dining place.

Below are my experiences

I visited it for breakfast , they offer unlimited breakfast for 150 rs per person.

It had 5-6 options , almost 80% of them were below average. Like Idli, wada was hard, dosa they served was not crisp and cold. Only misal was relatively good among all items. So I would suggest not to fall in a trap of unlimited breakfast and visit some better resataurant you can get decent breakfast in 150 rs for one person.

I visited there for dinner with my family and ordered mushroom and paneer from main cource.

When food came we saw that it was the exact same gravy for both of the dishes the only thing was , in one of them they put paneer and mushroom in another. Taste of both was also average. Even the service person( they call him captain) did not suggest that both dishes are going to have the same gravy. Roti and lachha parantha were good.

I again gave a try yesterday thinking that may be we ordered similar dishes last time so this time we will order something else.

We ordered Paneer Tikka masala and Dal Takda. Both of them were way too spicy that even taking one bite was difficult.

I am sure if anyone will have that paneer tikka masala , he would have tears in eye because of excessive red chilly.

We raised our concern and service person replaced that or may be made it better by adding some cream etc but still it was spicy.

And that dal tadka , i have never had this much spicy daal tadka in any other restaurant. Breads were ok.

When we raised the same with manager he called chef and said they are getting similar complained from other customers as well. So it was not like that only we were getting over spicy food.

So I think you should try some other...

I recently dined at this and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. Here's a breakdown of my concerns regarding the food, service, and ambiance:

Food: The quality of the food was far away from satisfactory. Order :- Dak khichadi -dal seperated itself for roce felt like eating a mess style dal with steam rice. Special pav bhaji- that was worst. I got something looking special. They put mozerella cheese over pav bhaji which condensed into a thick layer like papad. And the surprisingly the pav bhaji was full of paneer n mushroom n kaju which was way too tasteless. I can't even explain the taste. It was vlunt taste of (smashed potato missed with water and all these) unfortunately I don't have any photos but believe me just avoid this if u r visiting here for a family dinner. So I have to get a roti to finish this sabji with the pickel that they served only after asking. Masala papad- all together nothing new. Only onion m tomatoes 🍅 over the papad which was really bad at taste. Unfortunately -Tandori roti to finish the mix veg (basically pav bhaji)

. It seemed like there was a lack of attention to detail in the preparation, and the flavors were underwhelming.

Service: The service was slow and disorganized. It took an unusually long time for the orders to arrive, and the staff appeared overwhelmed and inattentive. They even billed the water bottle and extra pav which I did not order. And when I made them in noticed. 3 people asked to confirm this.

Ambiance: The ambiance of the restaurant was disappointing. Plain walls and nothing so good looking . Dull serving plates and dull atmosphere.

I can keep on writting lot of thing. But can't stop. It's just another over priced disappointed restaurant.

I usually tend to go out and have food with family over some occasion. This was possibly the worst experience I could have had with servers. Here's why I am giving 1 star.

The servers here are upright rude and not trained. When we were having dinner here there was a lot of noise and the food was delayed for quite a very long time. This could be mostly because the online orders would be given preferences.

Why the service was bad-

Even though the owner of this restaurant is spending lots of money on servers and the staff they are not trained. They were calculating something with multiple bills in hand. When asked to tone down the noise. These guys shifted from the previous spot which was away from us to a spot which was in front of us, as if they wanted to mock us. And I also overheard them making fun of us by repeating what we said.

Honestly I would have given it another try just because the food was decent. But with the experience I had with the servers I am not going to go back and would not recommend this place either.
