I have been living in Pune since 2018 but got a chance to try this restaurant now with my wife and a friend who came from Bangalore. One of the best Rajasthani Dhaba where one can get an authentic taste of Dal bati along with multiple Marwadi or Rajwadi or North Indian dishes. They have a huge menu for all types of people depending on their taste. They have varieties of Dal bati thalis which people can order and can share among others. We had Masala Khichia Papad, Rajwadi Dal Bati Thali, Sev bhaji, Garlic Dal Tadka, Tandoori Roti, Chaas and Dry Fruit Lassi. In Dal Bati Thali, we got 4 bati with Ghee inside a small matki, bucket of Dal, Gulab Jamun, Gatte ki sabji, Onion Lemon salad, piece of Khichia Papad and a glass of Chaas. Rajwadi dal bati thali costs us ₹270 which is a decent pricing. We didn't like Gatte ki sabji which is like Gatte in Kadi, not having proper sabji like gravy and taste. Gulab Jamun was served cold. Sev Bhaji was good in taste and had a good quantity to share among us. Garlic Dal Tadka is the best in taste and quantity. Chaas was freshly prepared with a good amount of masalas. Dry fruits Lassi is nothing special as per its name which was below our expectations. It was like slices of dry fruits put on a plain lassi. The most important thing is that if you are ordering Tandoori Roti do ask for Wheat Roti or else they will serve you Maida roti which is not good. Try to reach the restaurant before 3 PM in the afternoon to enjoy other varieties of Rotis and Bhakri which we missed. Overall everyone enjoyed our food and came out with a stomach full. They have multiple sitting arrangements inside as well as outside. The place was clean and hygienic. The serving staff is attentive and takes good care of you. Highly recommended place in Pune and PCMC to have authentic Dal Bati. Best place for Dal bati lovers like us. Also, a pocket friendly place to visit with friends and family. They are serving good quality, taste and maintaining their...
Read morePathetic service and ok food
I have been to this place multiple times and the service has degraded a lot. Even the food quality has degraded. We went here specially to eat dal batti. We ordered panchrantni bafle batti, kolhapuri dal batti, chatpati dal batti, rajwadi dal batti and hakka noodles for my kids. Pancharatni dal had no taste, kolhapuri was just chilli powder. Rajwadi was ok and chatpati was good. The experience which we had in past was really good and now the taste has changed completely. Apart from food, service here was disaster. I had to ask for spoons and no plate was given to my daughter for eating noodles. We never got glass for water. We had to tell everything to the waiters. Now let's see how it stands on CLAPS rating:
C - Cuisine: Food was disappointing. Even the noodles were smelling stale. No ⭐ here.
L - Location: It's not on any main street and not even in a popular crowded area. Only people who have heard of the place will visit. It's easy to find it with Google maps. Half ⭐ here.
A - Ambience: They have different sitting area starting from simple sitting area, khatiya and AC hall. It's clean. So full ⭐ here.
P - Price: Price is OK and not too costly. Full ⭐ here.
S - Service: They really need to improve here. If a customer has to ask for plate and spoon, what kind of a restaurant is this. And no glass for water till the end. No ⭐ here.
Overall all this was a bad experience and I would not be visiting this place again.

Hey food lovers! If you’re craving some authentic Rajasthani flavors in town, Shree Baba Ramdev Dhaba, located near Nigdi in the PCMC area, is a hidden gem you’ve got to check out. I recently visited this place, and trust me—it was a wholesome and satisfying experience!
The highlight here is definitely their Dal Baati Thali—packed with rich flavors, ghee-loaded baatis, spicy dal, churma, and all the traditional sides. It’s comfort food at its finest! Apart from that, the à la carte menu also deserves a special mention. Every vegetable sabji we tried was fresh, well-spiced, and full of flavor. Whether it’s paneer, aloo, or mixed veg—each dish was a hit.
The service here is another big plus. The staff is super attentive, quick, and always smiling—makes the dining experience even better. You feel genuinely welcomed and well taken care of.
However, one small downside is parking. If the open space right outside the dhaba is full, you’ll end up parking on the roadside. And since this area is along a truck/lorry lane, it can get tricky during peak hours. So, just a heads-up—it’s better to make an advance booking if you’re planning to visit during rush time.
All in all, Shree Baba Ramdev Dhaba near Nigdi, PCMC, offers delicious food, great hospitality, and a warm vibe. Definitely worth visiting for an authentic veg feast. Catch you on the next...
