The service is pathetic, absolutely pathetic.
No water was served or even asked till the end.
Medhu wada was refried.
Paper dosa was in reality just a XL size normal sada dosa.
Idli & Medhu wada were served after completion of eating Dosas although all were ordered at the same time.
No manager available at the counter.
Only 1 waiter to serve at all the tables, acting as the manager also.
The water which was served later, as our initiative, too was not cold, as told.
One can't even think of comparing with the Kamaths Vitthal on the other side of the highway (heading from Bombay towards Gujarat).
Infact, we were just wondering, is it actually Kamaths !!
Who would accept such type of sub-standard, inferior quality & cheap service after such an exorbitant payment.
Moreover, yet we had to face the attitude of the waiter cum manager, as a soveigner.

An average outlet of the famous Kamat's chain of restaurants. Even though the place is located by the highway, it gets hidden because of the flyover adjacent to it.
The place has decent space both inside and in the patio outside. The staff looked a bit groggy this morning, as it became a bit difficult to hear them. The food was nothing worth writing about.
The wada was supposedly their best-seller, but it barely passed the muster. The misal was a dead-pan, however the usal gave it some depth. The pav (bread) felt a bit stale, as they were falling apart. The tea was simply milky with hardly any flavor of tea.
Price of most dishes are at par with what one might see in Mumbai. There's enough parking for both two-wheelers and four. There are better options just a kilometre down the road...

Kamat is the brand itself and they are maintaining it. One of trusted quality food outlet on Ahmedabad highway . . .While returning to Mumbai.
Our early morning 7.30 / 8 am experience was good. The counter staff welcomed us, provided the list quickly available dishes.
By the time they serve we went to fresh rooms and they were neat and clean well equipped with ample water, soap and sanitizer.
There is a small donation box with an appeal to donate to encourage the cleaning staff. Which is a good and helpful initiative.
The food served here is good quality.
Parking space is ample.
One suggestion - since this hotel is below the flyover they should start direction boards properly before 1 / 2...
