It's been a very long week that I didn't eat out & so today I decided to do my regular Food runs. It was already 2pm & I decided to go towards Mawlai & check two places out for lunch. Sadly the 1st place was still closed for the holidays even though the notice on the gate said that they would be open from the 3rd of this month. The 2nd place was caught up in catering work & didn't have the dishes that I came specifically to try out.

It was 2:30pm & I was feeling hungry. I got in the car & drove aimlessly only to be channeled to a different route thanks to the one way signboard on the road. I then crossed Kenter's Food Corner which I had visited last time & got my sense of direction again. After passing Kenter's I remembered that the ever so popular K.M.P Fast Food was up ahead. I'm sure many of you reading this would have already checked this place out. This would be my 1st. Infact 3 years ago when I had just started this page, @shillong_food_huntz had told me about this spot & I did go try to search for it twice, but in vain.

Anyway since then, many foodbloggers & not have visited this place & had good things to share. So even though I was looking for lunch, I decided to have a small snack & check what the commotion was all about.

It's a small place with benches on the frontyard for sitting. I ordered a bowl of Chana Pakawri. This is my first time trying out this dish The sun was out & I enjoyed my time in the sun.

The bowl was huge. It had a rather watery chana which had chopped veggies like cabbage onions & even carrots. There were 7 pcs of onion pakora perfectly seasoned & still had a nice crunch. I took a spoon & boy it was just perfect. No other words to describe the feeling. I didn't want to try the other items just because I didn't want to spoil what I had just experienced.

I've read somewhere that service can take a toll due to the rush. I was lucky & didn't experience that since I went at lunch & not snack time before the crowd came in.

This place is definitely worth all the hype.

Although it's quite popular. Through the years service has changed. Now they would cater more to online orders than physically bring there. So if you'd go order in store you'd probably have to wait 10 - 15 mins before you actually get someone to take your order or might not cause your food's finish.
