Delhi Zaika in Kurla (West) offers a well-decorated and well-lit ambience suitable for families and large groups. However, the overall experience falls short in several key areas.
The menu is diverse, featuring Indian, Mughlai, Indian Chinese, and Arabic and Turkish dishes. Unfortunately, while the food was satisfactory, it didn't impress. The chicken didn't seem adequately cooked, though the gravies were decent. Their signature cream-based dishes, especially the Peshawari Tandoori, had a nice, creamy sauce that melted in the mouth, but that was one of the few highlights.
The Arabian Kepsa was disappointing—it was more like plain fried rice served on a large plate, with chewy and tasteless chicken pieces. The fruit champagne jug, while a decent aerated drink mixed with fruits, wasn't enough to redeem the meal.
Service was another letdown. Despite it being a weekend, the restaurant was severely understaffed, leading to sluggish service, and I can only imagine how poor it might be during the weekdays.
